I don’t think we could re sign him even if we wanted to. There is a rule in place that stops clubs from re signing released players. It so clubs don’t lay off players just to save wages over the summer.Shame really I’m sure he could still do a job for us.
Incidently, he is still our top Premier League goalscorer with 20 goals.

If we wanted to keep him desperately and he wanted to stay then yes he would.
The better players we’ve let go, we have got over the odds for, Valencia, Palacios being two. how can you deny them moves of that hilt?
The ones that wanted out and play for massive clubs, we have rightly let go and not got too bad a deals for, Cattermole and Heskey being two.
Figueorra[Sp] is living proof that if a player wants to stay and we want him to, then he will.

well let me explode that myth whelan,paul jewell and wigan athletic said that jimmy bullard wanted to leave,to be near his unwell father and that fulham had offered to double his wages.well that is a downright lie,how do i know ?
because jimmy bullard himself told a group of us in the star inn public house in lymm, nr warrington 2 weeks after he was sold,we used to go after fishing every friday and in the summer jimmy came every week.
Which bit wasn’t true, wanting to leave, his father being ill, or the doubling of his wages?

i heard that when latics came in to the league in 78.they got more on then the rugby team who were in division 2.i dont know as i started following the latics in 82.all i know is its a myth about them been some rugby man utd of there time back in the day.they was the only pro team so its hardly a level playing field.Look above at the post by ‘scholescontrol’.

Personally I haven’t a problem with Bobby, and will always give him and the team my backing.
I think most people think the same, but have a problem with how the club looks to be being run.
