For the fourth time, it is a myth….. any team can have triangular flags as long as they fall inside the sizes allowed.
There is no stipulation that you have to be an FA Cup winner…

Keep Ali, keep Lee Nicholls (who I think should be given his head this season) and that is a good enough keeper line-up for the Championship.We have much better areas in the team to be spending £400k in my view, unless the club knows something we don’t about Ali and/or Nicholls.
I thought Ali was injured?
But I agree that Nicholls proved last season that he is up this league…

I am fully behind the Club waiting until season tickets have been renewed.
I would be pretty miffed if I missed out on decent seats because they had been sold to someone that had a season ticket last season and then wasn’t ever going to go again until/if we got back in the Prem….
If it pushes people to renew quicker then happy days.

This ‘triangle corner/half-way line flags’ story is definitely a myth.
Flags can be any shape, as long as there is a flag.
The FIFA Law simply states:
Flagposts
A flagpost, not less than 1.5 m (5 ft) high, with a non-pointed top and a flag is placed at each corner.
Flagposts may also be placed at each end of the halfway line, not less than 1m (1 yd) outside the touch line.I hope that settles the argument.

I wrote the below when the annual return came out, in it you see that Wigan Athletic Football Club is now owned by Wigan Athletic Holdings, which is also the company that owns the DW Stadium.
