Don’t think we need to be calling for Joyces head IMO.
As disappointing as it was losing to Sheff Weds, it wasn’t all down to Joyce. Warnock switched off for their goal (again!) and from what SSN said our goal that was disallowed shouldn’t have been.
He’s got a few players in now that are his choice so let’s see how we get on over the coming weeks.Don’t think I’ll be able to name our squad on Friday Neet ! It’s like the proverbial revolving door ! At least we’ll be busy with new nicknames for them all.Seems young Sharpy like transfer deadline day… do we need so many new players? Get rid of some yes as they were crap, but 11 new faces? Hope it doesn’t upset what they seemed to have achieved over the last three games.
As disappointing as it is to lose him, 7m is an enormous amount of money (if that figure is true?) so take a bow Sharpy, great bit of business..
I sort of like Savage on the commentary as he says it like it is, sometimes!
What’s he said then?
You stuck your neck out further than me Grumps…. Would be great though wouldn’t it :woohoo:
Yanic has the potential to rip that defence a second one. Phil Jones (if he plays) wouldn’t stand a chance and De Gea won’t be playing….
I’m a realist so I’ve got a fiver on 4-0 and a fiver on 3-1 just in case we score one, obviously hope I am wrong and that we win but just can’t see it!I’m gonna stick my neck out and say I think we’ll fair pretty well against UTD. They didn’t look that good against Hull mid week.
Midfield is our strong point at the moment and if we play to our max, defence does well in keeping Zlatan quiet, we could sneak a draw?Fair to say his final ball isn’t always the best, far from it sometimes. But his pace is frightening! We paid 1m and i thought that was a lot! 5m for him, just shows how mad football has gone.
I’m with you JR, want to keep him as i’ve not seen a winger for a long time that can excite as much as he can when he’s on form.
I don’t think we missed Yanic today, the team actually looked balanced instead of a bit lopsided, dont get me wrong i like Yanic and his tremendous pace and power but because of that he gets too much of the ball on the half way line and races down the wing and usually has two men to contend with that game plan makes us predictable and we’ve been sussed out.Today we had to have a plan B getting other players to do some spade work and bring others in to play instead of just looking for Yanic, that said i hope he’s fit for next week to run the Mancs ragged. :woohoo:
The team has looked more balanced since Morsy came back. Personally I don’t think Yanic makes us look unbalanced?
You’re right there Nuneaton, we should have started at 3k.
This team has always been too good to go down. We’ve now got a manager that can achieve our optimistic hopes. Said we’d win today, but would be tough as Brentford are a decent team.
With this fella in charge we will be safe, no worries! The whole dynamics of the team look totally different and with the players we have reckon we’ll finish mid table, comfortably.
One of the best saves I’ve seen at the DW today, thought he was at fault for the goal but having seen it again that was a bit harsh.Burn hasn’t improved he’s been good all year just that people still cant forget his first few dodgy games. Consistently one of our better players.
Dead right Lowey, previously our defence had been put under so much pressure through the way the manager opted play. Now the midfield take that pressure and it pays dividends. Long odds I know, but I’m optimistic about next Sunday
Another great game today, terrific addition to the team. But let’s not overlook macdonald, he had a behind the scenes cracker today. That bloke does a terrific job of protecting the defence and covering when we attack. Magnificent game today!
Totally agree with you re: mcdonald. Perhaps with morsy back in the team means that he can do his job more effectively.[/quote]
Definitely Runcorn, Morsy’s addition brings a whole difference to our midfield. In fact with him and macdonald we could play Gomez! That would guarantee some decent service for Grigg.
We all have to start somewhere and Caldwell was just that. Personally, I’m glad he’s gone as for me his inexperience was our biggest problem.
Onwards and upwards from nowAnother great game today, terrific addition to the team. But let’s not overlook macdonald, he had a behind the scenes cracker today. That bloke does a terrific job of protecting the defence and covering when we attack. Magnificent game today!
