Cracking win! But hey lads lets not count chickens until it’s written in stone, it makes me nervous. ;) :woohoo:
Up the tics!
It had better not be written in the ‘Ed-Stone’. That’ll be us doomed.
That goal of McAleny’s was amazing and certainly better than Vardy’s that everyone was raving about.
It’s going to be a difficult decision for player of the season and goal of the season …. Power’s at Swindon was good.
Please can they let Perkin’s score. he deserves a goal.
No other team in the division has moved as far as Wigan ….. scrambling up from bottom to top.[/quote]
Great stat Leyland :)
Rich, was praying Perkins didn’t score today, he certainly looked like he was teeing one up when the game was done & dusted.
With the season he’s had, I hope he gets the winner in the game that wins us the league. If not that, then the goal that wins the game that sends us up. He deserves that accolade for his efforts this season, magnificent!Great result, in the end.. first half we weren’t convincing, bit messy defensively and no real fluidity further up the field. McAleny’s first goal was another blinder!! Would love him to sign for us, great player.
Second half we were fantastic, Shrewsbury just couldn’t handle us .. Carry on playing this way and the league title is surely ours.
Ok then Meg, tell me if Moshiri has booked a flight for Bob :P
Great result for us, let’s see if that affects their confidence.
Watching the goals on SSN and both were knocked over the top for the Millwall front man to run onto. Might be the way to unlock Burtons defence!
Quite big queues at the Jonny come lately gates today. And let’s hope they keep getting longer :)
Great 3 points today made even better if Burton lose tonight. Already 2nil down :woohoo:
I hope so Lostock, but we’ll have to be mindful of their tac tics. They hurried us from the front and unsettled us at home so would love to get revenge.
Not expecting a good free flowing high scoring game, more a 0 – 0 or 1 – 0 me thinks. After a close first half they were certainly a mad few minutes in that second half. Quick out the blocks we were whilst Swindon were not.
How strange was that first goal though…. Thought we scored, but then the ball came bouncing back into play which caused a delayed celebration.
Are all these organisations run by incompetent, idiotic bafoons off their tits on Champagne and Beak?
For a start Internationals over a traditional football weekend, pathetic!!!. However this could be improved by clubs only being allowed to cancel games for players in the England set up.
The next gripe why why why on Gods earth do the incompetent blithering fools make fans travel around the country on the busiest day for travel in the year. Latics away at Swindon. Bloody Plymouth at Morecambe. Why to are these games even played on Good Friday and not on the Saturday. F’ing fools who run the game. Derbies all over the country last weekend. Derbies should have been today or tomorrow.Rochdale v Southend and Accy v Orient today but Barnet go to Exeter. Pathetic bunch of incompetent fools ffs.
Well done today Latics fans who suffered at the hands of these idiots. If they decided to follow rugby league & make convenient fixtures then Friday would be ok (6hrs to Swindon on a bank holiday weekend is no fun) Otherwise Saturday would be better but could you imagine the criticism from the big clubs about playing 2 games in 2 days!!!
Good to see Jussie get a mention, he’s made a big difference since his arrival and made the defence’s job a bit easier.
So many players to choose from for this, but it’s got to be Perkins for me. He was fantastic again yesterday, non stop. Always available to take a pass, never shy’s away.
Quite true, but would hope we can sell out for a top of the table clash. After all we are supposed to be a big club in this league.
Deserves it too the feckin loonatic, prize plonker!
Did actually, can’t knock them for trying but maybe should have thought it through a BIT more…..
Think the pub they ran back home was the blue boar in Bolton?Quite an interesting point, which I don’t know if anyone else has noticed, Walsall don’t play now until their tough game away at Sheff United on 2nd April. Gillingham only play once away at Bury. If, and it’s a big if, we get 6 points from the Easter games, we’d be in a very strong position.
I noticed that at the weekend and couldn’t work out why? They must have players on international duty? Their match with Shrewsbury was one cancelled I think.
Could be a great opportunity to put a bit of daylight between us & the chasing pack. Would certainly put the pressure on them to win games. Let’s just hope we can get the two wins but Swindon won’t be easy, they are on a decent run of late.
With the players at his disposal, fair to say he is under performing. Wonder what their new owner is thinking?
