Didn’t Amir Zaki score a cracker at Liverpool? Was miles better than Rooneys which came off his shin but still got voted best goal in prem history..
That’s the best one I can recall.Just give credit when it is due the lad worked his balls off.He did, but not enough for a MOTM vote Donny, that is my point.
I thought that Tavernier was half decent at right back the few times we saw him! Boyce is tired now and can no longer play the role of a right back who is expected to play high up the pitch! He was made to look very ordinary indeed on Tuesday! Been a grand servant and I hope he stays on at the club coaching or something but his time is nearing the end now!Very true, and no more evident than the first 15mins today. His passing was all over the place, think he knows it as well and the pressure got to him a bit.
Said that myself today and referred to that Bournemouth goal which was two yards off side. A bit of luck for us wouldn’t go a miss.
Some players can’t do anything to please fansHe’s a striker isn’t he? how many shots did he have today? how many assists for others to shoot did he have?
Now i’m not saying he was rubbish today, but MOTM performance, I don’t think so. You are obviously very easily pleased.
Man of the match today. Wrongly substituted.Clarke should have been substituted. Worst Bolton team ever seen. Luckiest Bolton side ever seen.I’m intrigued, what did he do to warrant a MOTM performance?
Clarke was s*** today, infact not sure he was even interested.Agree with comments about Bolton being poor. But yet again another really poor team leaves the DW with something, i’m beginning to worry!
Agreed, but if you put Perch at right back again then it will leave us short in midfield.
I don’t think Perch should be in midfield, but i’m sure it is only a short term fix. Boyce will probably end up on the bench again. But he does as much good as he does bad in the team in my opinion…
kvist was a poor player not so long ago, now he just looks pretty good in a poor team. McCann could fill that spot again if he finds his confidence?
Hope the Wigan fans show Boycey some loyalty as he has been great for our club over the years.Whilst i agree that Fortune is crap, and there is no getting away from it, he is crap. What i would like to know is, i haven’t seen a thread about any other player for ages and let’s be fair, They (maybe with the exception of Kim and Pennant) are all shite.
Emmerson Boyce has been awful and paceless for about 3 years and nobody ever says a bad word about him because he has moulded himself into Mr. Wigan Athletic when the truth of it is he is nowhere near good or pacey enough for this level and hasn’t been for the last 3 seasons.
Desperate times brought Boycey back into the team. He is slow but he is mid 30s now so hardly surprising and when all said and done he has made a difference to our defence.
His loyalty to the club and the fact he gives 100% every game might be why he doesn’t come in for much stick?Would like to think we could sing to Bolton – “how shit must you be we’re winning at home”
I am surprised that nobody has mentioned Whelan’s untimely step down from chairman! What happened to that so called ‘Dunkirk Spirit’ and all that similar bollocks he has spouted in the past? What happened to the alleged dressing room interventions? I just think that the dire situation the club is in at the moment was not the time to step down, it reeks of rats jumping ship to me! Martinez got slated for jumping ship after the Prem relegation yet not a word on Whelan’s bad timing? I did notice that he went out with a little speech and I have been informed that he made a bit of a fool of himself by trying to silence the away fans! It’s over 40 years since they won the FA Cup Dave, not 25! What better way to gee up the away side for a win than a put down, albeit a pathetic one! Leeds had the last laugh though and we are left with a tyro at the helm of this sinking ship while the ex chairman has made off in the only lifeboat to a nice caribbean island ! X marks the spot ! :)Whelan is a t00££3r flying off to Barbados to his fancy villa on his fancy private jet (tw@t). Why didn’t he do that before building our new stadium, winning all them cups / league titles and them happy memories? Inconsiderate, local millionaire, do nothing for the locals, gobshite!!! Wish I’d never of met u Dave….
I’m pretty sure the Hillsborough families will receive their justice for this.
Liverpool fans were no lover of Thatcher, maybe this was part of the reason?
What’s the chances of some big Premier League club poaching him like that last clown who relegated us last time. Maybe he could promise Newcastle or Spurs a Champions League place. God he may take our stars like Fortune Cowie and McDirty with him so we could swell the war chest with another 50p.Not so sure Wigan will act as a Trapeze for Malky, after all he is a s@&£e manager so why would anybody want him? We may be walking a tightrope at the moment, but for some reason I think Malkay is going nowhere? He’s juggled the team around and who knows he may even pull the rabbit out of the hat for us, and keep us up?
Think 50p is a bit over optimistic, after all once that Robbin bar steward Whelan takes his cut we’ll end up owing him 70 million?
How much!
It’s difficult to have any sympathy for him cos it was pretty obvious from an early stage that said facts were not quite right… Tosser needs locking up.
