….8/1 for West Brom to beat Liverpool tonight.??? goodpost

I know they have been on a really bad run of form and the scousers have been picking up lately, but I thought 8/1 was being rather derogatory to Steve Clarke’s team.

They are having a decent season and although they had their backs to the wall for most of the game tonight, won yours truly 320 dabs.
I’m off work this week, so will probably squander it all on the nags.

Out going Fimoss?……no on second thoughts…

if they value the security of a large pay packet they will scrap and fight to stay up and the owner and his manager know this.
all we need is a big result at Reading and despite what some people are saying I think we have some winnable games in the run in.

Tin hat on pal the D/S are on the prowl big style.

Roll on Sunday and let’s hope Bobby has seen enough of his fringe players to see that apart from Golobart and perhaps Redmond, the rest don’t deserve another chance.

The reason I replied was not in particular agreement with anything but because one particular poster got his thong in a twist over something that lowey wasn’t saying.

He then has a go at filmoss for reading through and reviewing the thread.

At no point has anybody said they won’t go if we’re relegated.

More to the point lowey will be a bit happier if we’re relegated as he’ll see more games.

Hope that’s cleared that up ffs!!

No it doesn’t Terry whatever your name is. I said he was being selfish re his comments and I’m bob on. Would like us to go down so he can see more games??? that’s worth a “FFS” in anybody’s books.

I read and understood his post first time thank you very much and I don’t need people like you coming on and trying to patronise me. Hope that’s cleared that up. B)

Oh and Fil I’m sure my first car was a Chamois 30 odd years ago. Cost me £50 quid and had to get it towed home. Got it running and sold it on for £80 and the lad who bought it off me wrote it off within a few weeks hitting a lamp post somewhere up Beech Hill. :woohoo:

After watching Kone when he came on saturday, whilst the game may have been gone by then, when chasing the ball down the channels, he looked like he was pulling a rickshaw with big daddy sat in it. :woohoo:

Gobshyte, Clown these terms will all show their head for the next 5-6 days. If we do continue our FA cup run and beat Reading, they will go back hiding in the dictionary until our next defeat.

I think what we have to realise is that not everybody is the same in the way that they perceive the entertainment/enjoyment that should go with supporting a football team and lets face it people wouldn’t go and watch football if they didn’t enjoy it now would they ! Some are happy whatever happens and see no reason to say anything, at the end of the day it is the Prem look how far we have come etc. whilst others expect to get some sort of feelgood factor for their money despite still being loyal fans to the club. Neither fans are in the wrong and I would say that there is a pretty even split between such fans at the club, for instance reading back through this thread sees 6 posters siding with the original poster and 6 posters not ! This is the way of the World, there are the get your head down, be grateful and get on with it types and then there are the inquisitive ones, the ones that demand answers, the non conformists !

OK I admit I can be too over protective of my team, manager and chairman but give me that any day than slagging them off every time they lose or play bad.

If you have felt the need to analyse the various posts on this thread, then can I suggest you have too much time on your hands dry chammy! :P

PS I’ll give you some research to do Fil if your bucket’s got a hole in, check back when we have won games and see if those same 6 posters are still negative in the days after the win, or see if they actually post at all. It’s that what bugs me and other Lightsiders the most, they appear like a genie from a lamp within minutes of the final whistle when we lose, but mysteriously go missing like Lord Lucan, DFS and LMB when we win.

What they have failed to identify is the inconsistency from every player on a match by match basis.

What they say is a frailty for one player one game, suddenly becomes a strength for the same player the week after and vice versa.

I will agree though with their summary of Ali Habsi. goodpost

I’ll give it 5 mins before somebody comes on and says we won’t create any chances to spark their goalie into action or non-action. :woohoo:

Probably debated this for the last nine years but here goes.

I only go to home games due to family and cost (cue sudworth) so over the last 9 years have seen us win on average 5 times a year. Is this really what I want from a saturday afternoon?

Relegation would see us more competitive and get me out the house 4 more times and have that good feeling on a Saturday night more often.

I am honestly now bored with losing and would like to watch something different, I know there’s no guarantee and we could well free fall. However think I say this every year then we beat utd and I say that one game makes the other 18 shite worth it.

My tin hats on but relegation I welcome not fear.

Yes get your tin hat on you fekin band waggoner. We need support through thick and thin not just when we are doing well. Stay at home my friend and we’ll see you again if we stay up. Thanks for your support but it would have been good to see us through the bad times. goodpost[/quote]

Bleedin eck ace not heard that saying for ages. :cheer:

I just wish some fans would get a sense of reality into their lives.

When the going gets tough the soft shytes moan like fek. They will be the same fans who go missing at the end of the season if we stay up once again.
It’s the easiest thing in the world to support a winning team but not quite as easy to support a struggling one. That’s what makes this game of football the best and most followed sport in the universe. It’s also what sorts out the proper fans from the fickle ones.

I said exactly the same to my mate yesterday. Ali is going through a terrible time at the moment and its not all down to the players directly in front of him.
Once again he has parried a ball straight into the oncoming strikers path, this is happening two and three times a match.

Would be worth throwing the young lad in at the deep end to see if he has any mettle. At least he would come out for crosses and perhaps kick the ball towards one of our players rather than straight in to touch. :woohoo:
