can’t agree with that, this lad can play football and for me seems to be getting better, i’d just like him to demand the ball a little more and get a but more involved

but it seems that most of you need somebody to hate

TBH I like Gomez, I think he adds a bit of quality and guile to our midfield. However, in the last two games he has clearly shown his main weakness and that is no willingness, urge whatever you want to call it to get stuck in and put a foot in when its needed. In my opinion he’s a slightly better version of Jason Koumas.

I reckon with a hard working midfielder in that team yesterday, say of the likes of James McCarthur , we would have won the game far easier than we did.
In the Prem league these days there are very few “luxury” type players in any teams, even someone like Berbatov tracks back and closes people down.

Unless we ever get to a level whereby we can afford a luxury player in our team, I would keep JG on the bench for the time being.

this should help sort this – less than a 1000 as usual – the long slippery road to your natural home has begun – blue square.
“ALBION fans yet to buy a ticket for tomorrow’s reduced-price Hawthorns clash with Wigan are urged to contact the East Stand ticket office as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Tickets will be on general sale, priced £15 adults and £5 concessions (no concessionary prices are available in the West Stand), on Saturday from 9am until the 3pm kick-off – should stocks last.

Only single seats remain in the Brummie Road End, West Stand and East Stand.

The only stand in which seats can be bought together is the Smethwick End after Wigan’s decision not to take up their full ticket allocation enabled the club to move the void to accommodate more home fans. However, only around 120 seats remain in this stand.”

Very good that’s lots of peeshed off boggies at the hawthorns then.

I think there will be more chance of loan players coming in than permanent signings.

There are two Man U players being banded about, Gibson and Macheda.

Trouble is we as fans are to blame as well, because we are letting this happen and not letting a certain mr whelan know we are not happy with martinez in charge,Lets be honest the win at sunderland was a one off, and only through al habsi the game could have been over at half time.

And by the same token if Gomez had put that shot away from 3 yards in the first 10 minutes we may have seen a different game / result. If you are going to highlight the key points that went our way when we won, what about doing the same when we lose?

…and how the fek can the Sunderland win be a one off, just check the games won column in the paper or tv. OK its not many, but we have won more than one game this season. Again its seems OK to highlight the fact that we have not won many games, but fail to quote the true facts to try and put some meat around the negativity bones of your post.

I totally agree with Griff. We definitely was equal to Arsenal for the first 20-25 mins. When they scored we all said, bleedin eck we didn’t deserve that.

Just watch Gomez tracking Arteta back for that opener. I nearly bust a blood vessel shouting at him to get a foot in. He jogged for about 10 yards then stopped. Thought Ali should have done better with it despite the ball taking a horrible swerve.
Also thought Ali should have been better placed for their second but poor marking at the back post.

All credit to the Gunners, superb team no matter who they play.

We need to get summert next week. :woohoo:

We will more than likely draw against Ukraine and Sweden. This will leave us having to beat a poor French side to get through.
We will go 1 nil up in the first 15 mins of the French game only to agonisingly get beat by a blatant offside goal early in the second half and an own goal in the last minute by John Terry.

Probably in V or VI weeks time, when we get injuries II, III or IV players.

He has only IX or X development team matches under his belt so you might see him come good during MMXII.

It’s nice to be going into a game where we are really not expected to ger out from it.

I can sense that the pressure on the manager, players, supporters and even the Darkest of the DS’s on here has gone from state of red alert, to a feeling of calm, collected, positiveness, togetherness kind of thing. It’s amazing what one win and 3 nurps can do.

Anything we get tomoz will be a massive bonus and set us up nicely for the Baggies game and our adopted Austrian geezer with funny red glasses.
