Another short player…. Not wanting to be heightest at all, but why all the short men and no huge scandanavian centre back?
Probably because we were one of the best performing teams in the EPL from set pieces / corners last season.

What a journey!Just read he was given the Celtic captaincy when Scott Brown was injured last season. So he’s not quite over the hill or a “has been” yet.
At the age 28 to 30 in football terms, you are deemed as at the peak of your career. Maloney is 28.Last season Samras 22 league games – 3 goals, Maloney 21 league games – 5 goals.
Both him and Samras have played 4 games each this season for Celtic, so were do you get the idea he can’t get in front of Samras?
Give the boy a chance.

What a journey! This is why football is the best game in the world.
Yes citeh should get a ponful against us with all their new stars in form, but you cannot rule out us getting a result.Look back over every season and pick out those unexpected results, there’s loads of um. There is no reason why this can’t be one of them this season.
What about an in form Arsenal team fighting for the Prem title, coming to the little DW and being 2-0 up. :happy-partydance:

What a journey!Don’t think we are too bad in that area. I realise Alcaraz is out for a couple of months but the ones who have stood in up to now have let one goal in, in 3 games.
I know you could say we’ve only played “championship” teams but nevertheless they’ve done alreet. The trump card for me is Boycie, he can slot in at CH no probs at any time and do a job. Stam and the nearly fit Gohouri will not let us down at RB.
I think Bobby will be more concerned about the LB position more than any. If Figs gets injured or suspended there is a bit of shuffling to do. Piscu would be OK but as we saw in the Norwich game he is not that comfortable when defending the LB position.

What a journey! You need to relax mate not particularly bothered about the crowds, the results were right in the end but thanks for the detailed input. Not bothered about crowds but still had to have a sly dig eh?
If I’m not bothered about summut I just keep stum. ;)

What a journey! When I first read that article I couldn’t help but think that Bobby’s last sentence was a “it may not happen” hint. :(

What a journey!Well done to the council for chucking in a lot of free tickets yesterday to swell the crowd. WHo would’ve thought the council doing their bit for Wigan AThletic eh :)council throwing free tickets?.
Don’t talk out your arris sunshine. The club may have thrown free tickets at various council and partnership groups, but not at the request of the council. The club obviously realised that the Norweb and Elegren shirt wearers would be out in force on saturday and chose a great moment to do some positive marketing.
You rugby men are bigger bufoons than I thought.
The very council people that you are referring to were all at Wembley with their families and friends having received their free tickets from WRLFC.
Now go back to sleep Danny and I’ll give you a nudge when somebody has a pop at the pink and whites again.

What a journey!Think it may just be a tongue in cheek thing scoffy that most teams fans do having seen one of their players slam one in from distance as per our fig.

For those who have ever bothered to read what I write, I’ve said hd hasn’t been worth a place in the team for 18 months. I just wish he’d have managed to step up as required, but he hasn’t. Think he has only been keeping Hugo’s shirt warm for him pre-season
who are you talking about griff ?[/quote]
No need to bring things posted in the past about Gomez in this thread LMB. The issue is about Gomez’s performance today and the comments and player rating you have given him.
I like many others have slated the guy, I’ve also seen the good qualities in him, that unfortunately have come to the surface too few times in a Wigan Athletic shirt.
Now I suggest you too watch football first or a recording of the game, put all your previous thoughts about JG out your head, pretend you’ve never seen him play and give a honest opinion of his performance and overall contribution today, go on I dare you!…and no I’m not pished up in the early hours of the morning, just suffering with a really bad bout of tinnitus. :angry-banghead:

What a journey! Was LMB watching the same game as the other pundits who scored the players and the rest of us, or does he just have it in for the lad??

What a journey!i was very pleased with all aspects of the game today. very good all round team performance & from my view, things seem to be clicking in all areas. this win today now makes us unbeaten in the last 5 games – never thought i’d be saying that.I think you’ll find that’s now 7 consecutive Prem league games unbeaten.
