Perhaps the reason might be that Jordi was running around like he’d never been touched within 5 mins of the tackle and went on to score the first goal.
If he had been stretchered off and put on the sick list for a few months, we may have had a slightly different response. :roll:From Matlock to ManU
What a journey! When are the fans going to stop looking for excuses and realise it’s their current team’s inability to get results were the problems lies and not the yank owners.
They have spent loads of money on players over the past 3-4 years including acquiring the services of arguably the best centre forward in world football. The Yanks didn’t pick these signings the management did. They still have arguably the worlds best goalie, attacking midfielder in Stevie G and centre forward in Torres amongst may other world class players.I hate Liverpool with a passion and hate their new manager even more [its a Latics / Blackburn thing from years ago] Nothing would please me more than seeing them relegated, but these yanks are no different to the Arabs bankrolling Citeh. They have no interest in football or the clubs they own, its just another expensive toy to them.
The players also don’t give a shyte about off field activities, again as long as they are getting paid their obscene amounts of dosh, Mickey Mouse may as well be running the club. That’s one reason I’m a DW fan, he does care about our club, he understands our game and I admire what he’s done in life having started out selling a few bog rolls on Wigan market.
So don’t listen or feel sorry to the spirit of Shankley brigade and all this “built by Shanks and destroyed by Yanks” shyte. The very same supporters put together their “Gillette and Hicks” banners and wet themselves when the likes of Torres, Babel, Benayoun, Agger, Johnson, Kyrgiakos, Rodriguez, and Joe Cole signed for the reds. They have a squad good enough to be a top 4 club in the prem thanks to these Yanks, but the players themselves and managers current and previous have just not performed. END OF!

What a journey! This fella used to crack me up in my younger days and had this knack of making you feel sorry for him no matter what he did.
When I found out about his death, I don’t know what it was but I had to think of something funny to say and I’m not usually one for skitting when somebody famous dies. I’m sure he’d be laughing at the song I have dedicated to his memory.
“Don’t laugh at me cos I’m a ghoul”

What a journey!fact…we get bigger crowds than you!!!

WTF does it matter were the lads come from who play for your team. I support Wigan Athletic, thats my team and always will be no matter who puts on the blue and white shirt.
I’ve been watching and cheering on Europe in the Ryder cup today and guess what…..not one feker came from Wigan. It really doesn’t matter sunshine.
And by the way, take all the over seas players out of your shower of shyte and you wouldn’t have a team good enuff to beat owdum ruffyeds.PS; Nice to see one of your home growners winning the MOM award at OT. ;)
Oh and finally “We don’t have any home grown players currently in our first team” that good enough for you, now do one!!

What a journey!Old pigeon chest one of the dirtiest players in the premAnd one of the most fouled players each and every season.
I bet you use to love Bobby Campbell when he played for the tics and he dished out more stitches than the Higher Ince knitting society. :DFrom Matlock to ManU
What a journey!Hey up they’ve won summut and the cherry and shyte are wetting themselves.
The very fact that just one of these “African” players you refer to earns more than the entire Worriors team put together, just about sums it up really.
Oh and the fact that one pemiership teams crowd is bigger than all the soup or leak crowds put together each week.
I suggest you go and argue with someone who follows a similar world standing sport to rugby league. I’m sure there are plenty of crown green bowling, tiddley winks and kick out can fans out there to talk to. Hey and their teams might be made up of all home grown players.

What a journey! There are not too many better center forwards than KD in the Prem, I’d have him in my team any day. The sad thing about his call up is that its come when he’s 33 and not 28.
Good on yer Mr Capello for looking at lads like Jarvis from wolves and Davies from noblot who perform well week in and week out in the prem for their clubs. It’s the prima donas who get in the squad on a regular basis no matter how well they’re playing for their clubs that make me think “God Help Us”

What a journey!Gomez’s weakness is that he is too slow on the ball and consequently gets caught in possession too much. His strength is that he has the capability of playing that killer pass which the rest of our mid-field players do not. He’s also by far and away the best at free kicks.I think you’ll find the likes of Gareth Barry and Scott Parker are not blessed with pace, but are amongst the top ranking midfielders in the prem. You don’t need pace if you are clever on and off the ball. I’ve said to my mate from day one that Gomez will come good.
I can see a nice balance developing in our midfield and Gomez should be in their on a regular basis.
James MaCarthy brings pace, enthusiasm and a willingness to cover more ground than Jimmy B used to do.
Momo is the flair player with a mixture of confidence and often showmanship when in possession, but can track back and get his foot in when needed. The boy is still learning and being left out on Saturday probably did him a world of good. He has got caught out a few times this season in vulnerable areas just outside our box, this need eradicating from his game.
Hendry Thomas is a typical holding midfielder who brings absolute jacks_hit going forward, but is a Paul Rogers type spoiler that every team needs. I would still like to see Tom Cleverley in the MaCarthy role and let Macca do more of a Thomas role but with a willingness to get forward when needed.
My opinion for what its worth is “its getting there” :|

What a journey!Nah!this all happened after Jordi’s goal and before Rodders scored…..
……in fact not long after Bosseli sat down Martinez brought on Diame (74th minute). :?
It’s the first time I’ve ever seen a sub, subbed before they actually get on the field.
Mr Bosselli was not a happy chappie as he donned his trackie back on, shaking his head constantly to the final whistle and not even raising a smile when we scored. At the final whistle he was first down the tunnel, face like he’d seen his own a_rse. :oFrom Matlock to ManU
What a journey!Message for Admin…Why have you left this thread on here yet moved the Ryder cup one that I posted to the non football board.?
