What did Jacobs do wrong to deserve the title of this thread?

I had him as our 2nd best performer behind Burns.

If it was true why would he need to pull out of the Irish squad?. As someone said, load of bollix.

I voted to keep him (for now). I remember what happened last time we sacked two managers in the same season, and arguably that time we had a squad that should have been nowhere near the bottom 3.

This time we have a squad that was largely assembled when we were 3rd tier. Sure, we’ve added to it, but we have added players that other 2nd & 3rd division clubs didn’t really want. We signed Bogle, who was playing non-league football last season. In essence, we have a shit squad, and in all reality, we are going down with or without Joyce.

My prime reason for not sacking him now is financial. Assuming we are going down, and assuming that he will be taking a relegation pay cut like the rest of the squad, then I think he should be given until Nov/Dec of next season to show that with 12 months and two transfer windows under his belt, he can bring us back up and keep us up. If come November we are not around the top 6, then he gets the bullet, but it would be 2.5 years of lower wages as compo rather than 3 years of his current salary.

As the poster above quite rightly says, just because some supporters don’t agree with everything you say doesn’t make them a bellend – a very Orwell-esque point of view!

“I voted to keep him (for now)”. I didnt see that option on the poll.

“In essence, we have a shit squad, and in all reality, we are going down with or without Joyce”.

The squad we have is more than capable of staying in this league, the poster above summed it up….If Joyce was to go today it would lift the gloom from the players and fans, and with nine games to go we would still have a fighting chance of staying up!
Come on lad our squad is either good enough to stay in this league or it isn’t talk about contradicting yourself.

Well Joycey specialises in signing unfit players. He also discussed Jack Byrne in the article. Byrne hasn’t played since August when he played for Blackburn. Another useless signing in the window. Another needless signing.

Stop bleating on Donny about the January signings it is getting tiresome, you need to look forward man instead of moaning about the past.

Read what WJ has to say about the matter and it might make you finally understand the situation.

I’m 100% behind why he signed these players and how he’s handled them and if we are not out of the bottom 3 come end of season, I will hold my hands up and say he made the wrong decisions.
If like Obertan and Gilby, they come in at the right time and contribute enough to get us out the bottom 3, we should all stand and applaud WJ and his team. The problem is if we finish 21st, some on here will moan about us not finishing 20th.

Ronald is injured. Not related to Colclough at all Eggy but I just thought it could be a possitive move to get one of our own attacking midfielders on the park after all not much else as worked this season.

Aw’reet Donny, was talking to a Tics mon at Ewood Chicken Farm; and he reckons to know CoCo’s dad, who says that Joyce reckons that Coco is not fit enough to play !
You don’t need to know a friend of a friend to hear about what Joyce thinks about Coco just read this from earlier today.

Apparently Alex Neill has been sacked by Norwich. To quote their chairman “The board had to take drastic action, we couldn’t let a manager lead our club that has wasted £7m on that crock of shyte from Wigan”

What a gritty performance against 12 men. I would like to know how many free kicks they got it was a joke
Well done WJ for being patient with Obertan and Gilby, these two will have a big say in where we finish and they still only look about 75% fit. Another enjoyable ride home from the Midlands.

Why suddenly have you got concerns about the welfare of WJ?. Many posters on here, INCLUDING YOU have been shouting for him to fek orf anyway.

Now he’s seems to be out of the picture, you are now moaning about the club not letting us know what we already know, that he is recovering from eye surgery.

I would take an educated guess that as GB has given the Birmingham pre-match review, and the fact that he is the Assistant Manager, he will be taking care of first team affairs in the dug out tomorrow.

I’m also sure that WJ will be making the key decisions on team selection being that he has not had brain surgery or had his voice box removed.

I don’t want to appear to be dissing everything you say Phil but that comment about McDonald has proven to me that you know jack shyte about football.
Shaun McDonald has been the unsung hero for us this season. He constantly breaks play up and gives 110% every game. Just because he is not a flair player doesn’t mean he is not doing a job for us. We only have 3-4 players this season that have looked Championship quality, he is certainly one of them, win lose or draw tomorrow in his absence.

You could do at least two of them against who? Championship players?

This is getting too silly now, have you never seen Sam Morsy go round any championship players this season?

I can’t believe I’ve actually replied to this totally pointless post.

But we lost and lost with a wonderful goal. A Yanic type goal. Amazing skill by the lad from a fabulous pass to him a couple of jinks and a six pointer won by Rovers.

Maybe, but it came from one of our failed attacks, started with a big hoof up field and our keeper was beaten at the near post which is a golden sin for any goalie. Thought Emres had a poor game apart from the goal, yes he won the game with that only goal, but Bogle looked the better forward on show in my opinion.

Mate of mine who is a Rovers fan said we were the worst team to visit Ewood this season and that he can’t believe we are not bottom of the league!

Funnily enough, I was thinking that about Blackburn whilst walking up heart attack hill to mi car.

Don’t get me wrong we were peesh poor, but they were no better.

Ask your mate to explain these stats.

http://www.blackburn.vitalfootball.co.uk/stats.asp?a=482871

They had 2 more attempts at goal than us, same number of shots on target, they had 3 more corners but we had more possession. I bet your mate has seen teams at Ewood this season have less than 12 shots at goal.

I’m not saying that we weren’t awful, but your mate has certainly got Jack Walkers glasses on.
