Them are the games I like to win!!. Bradford are a tough outfit who can play a bit of football as well as the long hoof.
Parkinson made the win even better by moaning all the way through and having bust ups with our bench every 5 mins. Love it when it bites them in the bum leaving him and his side kick Parkin squirming for 15 mins or so.

Looked like handbags at 5 paces in the tunnel at half time between him and GC. :woohoo:
The best thing to do in those situations, is win the game which we duly did. :cheer:

Lets have a bit more positivity boys!. :cheer:

Why not look at it this way, despite our recent mediocre run of form, we are still in an auto promotion place. I bet you Walsall, Gillingham, Millwall, Coventry, Sheff U etc would swap places with us. Some of these clubs were several points clear of us not that long ago.

All the leading contenders have now played the same number of games so its let the battle commence time, none of this if they win that or if they lose that. We just have to gain the same number of points from the remaining games, as those teams immediately behind us.

Is that possible?, you bet yer life it is. In addition, is there a chance that Burton may hit a brick wall before the end of the season?, well with suspensions and injuries, course they could.
This board is awash with negativity when we drop points and is virtually poster free when we win. Some of the serial moaners have virtually disappeared since we hit the top two.
For starters, let’s beat Bradford Saturday and put an end to their auto promotion challenge. :)

We mustn’t underestimate teams at the bottom of the league. The are fighting for every point they can get, and there is no such thing as an easy game.

That is true Garswood, but we should not be conceding 3 against the team who are rock bottom…
Question I have is why now is GC playing with defensive formation? Didn’t go today but we sounded terrible defensively.
Some tough fixtures again next week for the teams around us, let’s hope we get back on track with a win.[/quote]

We started 4 – 3- 3, how is that defensive? Two of their goals were pile drivers and the third a pen. The point stops Walsall going above us midweek even with a win. Calm down boys this point may prove crucial. :)

It is looking likely or there is a very good chance we shall be promoted this season so the inevitable is going to happen. GC will be linked with other jobs. Just like his mentor Bob he will take the money and F off. Who can blame him. We all would leave our jobs for a big increase. Who would anyone fancy to take over when this happens.
I would go for someone I do not particularly like but a bloke who could do a great job, Nigel Pearson.
Would be a great appointment and likes to play football.

In terms of content, timing, negativity whatever else you want to include, this has to go down as the most irrelevant, worst post in the history of CL. :S

What a stupid idea, it looks like someone got the notion after watching the Wigan rugby v Brisbane Broncos game a couple of weeks ago! :S

Not much contact from the slutch rats that night hence the 12-42 scoreline.

I hate anything to do with rugby with a passion, particularly the klumps, but do you not think football is going the same way?

Can’t believe nobody has mentioned the wind and the rutted pitch. It looked at times that we were playing with a football sized table tennis ball. :woohoo:

Fair play to Millwall, they certainly did their homework in not rolling the pitch for a week. The ball at times bumped up over a foot off the ground from a simple 5 yard ground pass. It looked like they were playing on a giant corrugated roof.

That together with the sending off and massive “homer” of a ref, makes that point incredible.

Well done boys, did a good job on um and deservedly came back up north on a bubbly and positive team coach. :cheer:

………. an idea of how many of us latic fans are going to Millbrawl?

I’m not, that’s one less. But I do know of about 5 going, from London.

Don’t know how many are going, but the beam back at the ground is fully sold out. 800 fans between the South Stand bar and Marquee. :woohoo:

We managed to get just two players in the league one team of the day in the Sunday Mirror. Pearce and Grigg. Rochdale had 3 players in there..

I’ve played on those pitches quite a few times whilst working for the MOD. It was our [Royal Ordnance Factory]facility before selling it off to Bolton.
We played our inter company matches on there back in the 90’s and it was a first class surface then.

Game of two half’s today, we had the first and I thought they had the second. Great win at one of our rivals for automatic  Only away win in League one today!

Great celebrations when Yanics goal went in. How many invaded the pitch….

The Millwall game is building up to be a massive game if they keep winning.

We looked the class team for all the 95 mins in my opinion.
They had a 15-20 min spell after they scored when I thought we might lose it after having enough chances to be 3-4 up. however, during that spell we defended resolutely and deserved to get the winner.

A special mention to our two latest additions to the squad. Sam Morsy is the ultimate play breaker and wants to get us moving forward even when in a tight position. I’ve said it before that in my opinion, Ryan Colclough is the best player I’ve seen in this league and that includes Donald Dack.

I know what you are saying, but if I was the owner of Eastleigh FC I would sooner get the draw against Accrington Stanley at home, beat um on pens and get in that hat, rather than get the draw and go to Stanley and potentially get stuffed in front of 2,500 fans.

I just think that scrapping the replay will not bother the lower teams too much, or certainly not to the point of devaluing the FA Cup, as what is being suggested on this thread.

If anyone on here has loads of time on their hands, it would be interesting to see say for the last 2 or 3 seasons, what effect having no replays would have had on the various non league clubs who reached the 3rd Round and managed a draw in their first match. Do the same for league two and one sides who managed to reach the 4th and 5th Round and got a draw in their match.
You would have to make some sensible assumptions, such as the smaller clubs would only have won say 50% of the penalty shoot outs and say just 10% of the replays with the bigger clubs.
On second thoughts don’t bother, my head is mashed up just thinking about doing that. :silly:

But for those small clubs a replay at a big ground can be a financial lifesaver

Swings and roundabouts George IMHO. The big clubs only enter the competition after xmas, when most of the non league clubs and a lot of the Div 2 clubs have gone out. If the really small clubs can get a result at the nearly small clubs, there is more chance of them drawing a big club in the third round{64] and fourth round[32].
I think with the replays removed, we might see more non league and Div 2 league teams making the 3rd and 4th Round.

Must admit can’t get worked up over that, there’s nowt worse than looking forward to games over the festive period, only to have them postponed due to the weather or become a farce due to the state of the pitch.
Also give a thought to our friends north of the border who 6-7 times out of 10, never see a game of footy from about mid December to end of January. :woohoo:

Scrapping the FA cup replays is not a bad idea either, it may lead to more giant killings with the smaller clubs who manage to hold a big club to a draw on their pitch, not having to go to their opponents ground for the inevitable slaughter, if they manage to win the even stevens pen shoot out. :cheer:
