We are living dangerously here, because if we don’t secure a buyer before this Friday we could well have already seen our last match involving a professional club in Wigan.
One of the administrators said on Wednesday that:
“The basis of sale is that contracts have to be exchange by 31st of July. Proceeds (£10 MILLION) then must held in escrow pending completion.”
That basically means that the bidders must place the £10 MILLION into a legal holding account on or before the 31st of July. If this does not happen I suspect that the EFL can simply kick us out of the EFL altogether. As they need proof that we can complete the 2020-21 season.
Also, we will then be liquidated to pay creditors, and there will be no time at all to form a phoenix club as all non-leagues for the 2020-21 season are already full.
This will save them losing the appeal.
Lets all keep our fingers crossed its a vital week

IEC VOLUNTARY ANNOUNCEMENT
http://www.ientcorp.com/attachment/pdf/1517820308fNgUs.pdfGod there’s a lot of imbeciles on here, for god sake stop going on about season ticket prices, the issue is all about pay on the day prices, they are an Absolute Disgrace. Just look at the attendance tomorrow, i guess about 7,500 if were lucky. We won’t be included, were voting with our feet along with another 1,500 to 2,500 who won’t be going because of the pay on the day prices.
I am not an old tight git and have probably paid more money to Wigan Athletic than most on here!?? Plus, I am not saying that I cant afford to pay around £77 for just one 3rd level match, as I do have my own businesses, and the £77 represents around an hour and 10 mins work of net pay.
So its not that I can’t afford it, its the principle ….£77 for just one 3rd level game of football for 2 adults and a 13yo child is an ABSOLUTE DISGRACE….And I will NOT be going to ANY GAMES at these prices this season. It will be the first time since 1971 that I will have not been to any games. When I 1st started watching The Latics I think it was around 10p to get in, and i used to sell programs to get free entry + a few penny’s commission.
We used to go to places like: Netherfield, Skem Utd, Matlock, Great Harwood, Ellesmere Port Town, since 1971 I have probably missed less than 20 home games in all that time before this season.
But, now I think the club is an ABSOLUTE DISGRACE. Less than 9,000 attended on Sat and there will be even less on Tuesday.
It’s senseless by the club, there will be around 18,000 empty seats on Tuesday, if they started charging £15 for adults and a £5 for under 18’s they may get an extra couple of thousand on.!??
I don’t care what any other clubs charge, I am not interested in any other clubs, and it doesn’t matter what the seasons tickets cost. It’s the pay on the day prices I think are an ABSOLUTE DISGRACE!, and as a supporter of over 46 years i believe that i am quite entitled to my opinion without any childish jibes and cat calling thanks very much!
What a prick you are Papal *anker
The First World War has ended!
The First Allocation Of Wembley Tickets priced at £65 have already SOLD OUT! …The girl on the counter say’s they had to start on the extra allocation today!…I’m in block 520!
Comfortable Tics Win 3.0 or more!
As anyone asked the ticket office or more importantly Sir Dave Whelan….Why a previous buying history with the club is needed!? How the hell do we expect to attract NEW supporters if they won’t sell them a ticket!? This is pure maddnes and a good opportunity missed. ….How can the NEW supporters get on the database if they won’t sell them a ticket!????
