    C’mon Talal,
    Where are you ?
If season tickets are free, don’t think you’ll get many takers

Latics blood flows through my veins !
I’d happily give them Bahrain guys a transfusion.
    That’s the difference !

in reply to: Next year’s budget slashed #199388

After fifty five years watching the Latics (season ticket holder for the last 40 years), I’m seriously considering slashing my budget. I am in serious consideration as to whether or not I should renew my season ticket. My heart is with the Latics, but my head is saying why fork out my hard earned money for a club where ambition has gone out the window. Why should I turn out on those cold / wet winter days and nights knowing that survival is the only foreseeable goal, knowing that we have little hope of attracting players of a calibre equal to those of our glory years, knowing than any rising talent will be groomed with only cash in mind and not trophys, knowing that our squad will be full of “has beens” that have nothing to prove whilst they collect their pay cheque, knowing that the owners only pay “lip service” to the supporters real opinions & ideas.

Maybe, this is the face of modern football :-( :-( :-(

There’s always one team that plummets, whilst one finds the escape ladder :good: :good: :good:

in reply to: So what are we all thinking on ST renewals ? #199147

I thought you were not going to renew anyway Al as you were pissed off with the shite boring football we continuously play.[/quote]

I was distraught with the Kolo style !

Shaun on the other hand is winning me back around; then its down to the owners to put the last piece of the jigsaw in place.

Well, I’m keeping hold of my money until I can see what the future has in store for us !

Now, Talal needs to be aware that the club’s next pay day falls on the 7th of April and since it’s the bank holiday weekend the protocol would be to ensure that everyone is paid by the 6th April.
Shock & horror, I can almost hear the excuses now and another three points being docked.
    Just hope I’m wrong.

The old saying goes “Good News Travels Fast”, and more often than not that is the case !
So obviously there is no good news, not even a slight glimmer of good news; so we better had prepare for the worst while Adam buries his head in the sand.

I fully support the “refrain from ordering your season ticket brigade”, and I will be following suit until we had a clear future in front of us. If all this gets sorted out, they will have to virtually give season tickets away to retain any confidence with the fan base, regardless who the owners end up being !

    Absolute shambles

Fake News: me, Horc & Donny,s Page are buying the club !

The Job list looks like this:

Egg rent goes up by 500% or they are out.

No Egg posters or pictures allowed on the concourse.

The concourse will be open for business up to 1 hour after the game.

Bookmaker facilities will be re-instated for match days.

All juniors under the age of 11 will be allowed free entry with a pre-authorised ticket.

All OAPs will be allowed free car park passes.

Away fans will pay the same ticket prices as they charge away fans in the return match.

No Egg training on the pitch.

    No friendly Egg fixtures allowed.

Oh lighten up, we need some good news or we will go insane :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

Never understand this clamour for information. They’ll update us when there’s something to update us on.

Sorry Adam but I don’t agree.

Surely Mal & Shaun have safely returned home by now, and must have a judgement how the situation is playing out.
So if it was good news, like we’ve seen the plan and believe us it is going to give us nothing to worry about, they would be giving the supporters a big smile with a nod & wink.
Silence only deepens the mystery and usually means there is something to cover up and we are not going to like it.

You need to face facts and be realistic and put those rose tinted specs back in the cupboard.

And yet again it shows what a great job the EFL did with their due diligence checks prior to the Bahrain Pirates getting the OK.

And what about Reading’s pending punishment that was in the mixer long before our misdemeanour !
The EFL will probably let them off until next season.
