So I take it that Cup Winners will not be going on Saturday.
I’d much sooner spend my Wembley money on going to MK Dons and getting behind the team and trying to encourage an upbeat response. Don’t care what team you support, you will never like all of the squad; but that won’t stop me shouting for them whilst the game is in play.
With CWs attitude, were almost beaten before we step foot on the pitch; but this is football and if it was easy to predict, I would now be a millionaire courtesy of Littlewoods.

See you all at MKD :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

A workman like performance, it was all about the 3pts nothing else. Wtf was McClean doing ??, the bellends now out for 3 games.
Lang def looked leggy and Keane struggled to get a foot hold but when all said and done, a wins a win end of

Well, Mr Cup Winners Half Full sort of guy !
If you watch the slow motion footage on Latics TV (at the end of the extended play) you will clearly see that whilst Garner is on the floor he kicks out at Mclean, then jumps up and tries to punch McClean from behind; so Jimmy put’s him on the floor. Ref doesn’t see it and consults the linesman. Garner then chases after McClean, rather than walking off in the opposite direction to the Fleetwood changing room. IMO the ref should have red carded Garner first and then yellow carded McClean for retaliating. :bye: :bye: :bye:

Well Phil,

I celebrated that hard earned win with a bottle of Spinelli Val Di Fara Riserva, which is a nice easy drinking Montepulciano D’Abruzzo. Should have had at least three penalties; hope the Refs are saving us a couple for Friday :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

Another hard fought but deserved win. So pleased for Humphries to get the winner and a number of good performances throughout the team.
We’re certainly not a pretty team but we are strong team.

Enjoying my wine tonight, a Fairtrade Cabinet Sauvingnionish, I’ll hit the cider later :yes:

I was stood at the back of the goals midway between the touchline and penalty area, it was the narrowest pitch I’ve ever seen and obviously Cheltenham are used to playing on it. It was like watching a game were Sam Allardyce managed both teams.

I hate small pitches (bit like Morecambe a couple of weeks ago) and think it makes it easier to frustrate the game and deny the opposition space and time. Playing surface and the swirling wind didn’t help either. To be honest I expected that sort of game and couldn’t really grumble with a point in the end; especially when Sunderland & Wycombe lost :good:

Gutted I could not make it tonight.Got a funny feeling this game is going to be a lot tougher than we are all expecting.Hope the lads are up for it.Hoping for three points ,if not at least a point and we move on to Gillingham on Saturday.
Up the Tics !

Come on Phoenix, be positive and have faith.
Hope Liam delivers a more upbeat team talk :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

How come the 2nd Rovers goal didn’t go to VAR ? unlike West Ham’s first goal today ?

Are we playing with different rules ?

Anyway, bring on Joke City; definitely beatable if you ask me :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

Funny though, how their first goal was a great goal (Jamie really should have got to it, IMO); whilst our first was down to a goalkeeping error. I’ll admit that our second was a tad lucky (bit I’ll take it as Karma for that cheating goal they scored against us when their mon took the corner to himself, a few seasons ago). However, their second was clearly offside but the linesman on the West line was alsleep most of the afternoon.
Anyway, poor young goalie has been made the scapegoat to cover their embarrassment

The attendance today for Matchday 15 versus Blackburn Rovers was 9892.

Todays points scorers are –

Walgarthjohn – 9956 – (64 off) – 10 points
GoalsGalore – 9999 (107 off) – 10 points
Hampton – 10001 – (109 off) – 10 points

I demand a re-count

I’ve reconsidered!

What a result today Phil !!!

I popped a cork on a nice white Spanish Albarino (to celebrate our Spanish heritage) and threw together a crab and prawn risotto for our Peg’s tea ! Can’t believe that we scored, yet again, in the last 15 minutes to deal victory. Think I need a stiff brandy to steady the nerves

Don’t quite agree with you CW.
It was hardly boring, since we played some good attacking moves and had a legit goal chalked off. Have to agree that we should have introduced Thelo for the last 20 / 30 mins. IMO Massey is history and we should let him go in the window before his contract expires; and concentrate on our young stars instead.
Hopefully our strategy for the window will be to find some experience to get us over the line, rather than a punt for the future.

in reply to: Power or Morsey #194889

What exactly was Morsy claiming for to the ref, when Callum scored.

Can’t of been offside, because Morsy was on the goal line !
Can’t of been handball, because Callum knocked it in with his right foot !
Can’t of been for John Boy Walton falling over in the move prior, because there was an Ipswich player in between him and McLean !
