Impact substitution: Wild Thing is only on the pitch 2 mins 8 secs and seals it for a brilliant away win and a round of Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Oh What Fun —-etc

Bobby and his crew are 10 points off the top and 9 from a relegation spot. If lukaku keeps hanging them in he’ll attract bids in the January window. I predict a faltering second half to their season. Might have a tenner on them joint us in the Championship.

And Latics are also 10 points off the top, but 13 from a relegation spot. So are the Everton fans more disgruntled than our Latics fans ?

Well, the Sheffield game will be the half way stage of the season. So, if we are 3 or 5 points from an automatic promotion spot at 16:50 on Boxing day, I will be reasonably satisfied; knowing that there are still 69 points to go for. Most of us are frustrated at the moment; but did you really expect to be running away with the league and having it won by Christmas? GC and the team are finding their feet and we are still in touch and we all sense that we can do better than our last few performances; so let’s believe and keep the faith.

I like your karma, PLOT.

This time last year Knob End were roughly in the same relative position as we are in now, and I remember the local Nobbers absolutely berating their Manager and their performances; but it all came good for the business end of the season.

At least Cov lost today. Think it will be tight for second spot, yes; including the Latics !

At least Gary is not giving it the “we will take the positives” in the post match press. Maybe he has thrown away Bobby’s rose tinted spectacles.

Anyway, Southend on Saturday and we can expect more of the same from the opposition; especially with Phil Brown in charge ! Let’s hope Gary is a quick learner.

I heard a Wispa that GC might try him in a new formation; two up top. He referred to it as a Double Decker !

Let’s just hope he’s got an appetite for it when the Winter Nip sets in !
( Col Roughly’s Dad always had a big bag of them at Springy ).

Well we needed a laugh because last season was shite and this one is going to be more than just a picnic.

Well, he is proving to be a hot Topic already !

He scored for Rotherham against us last season, but that wasn’t too difficult a task last year, you hardly needed to be Messi or Ronaldo did you? He definitely Revelled in it!!!

He’ll make a packet, playing at the Latics.
Quite surprised he didn’t sign for the toffees !

Football provides a release for many people; a safety valve if you like where they can vent their seemingly irrational anger and frustrations. For the most part the abuse and vitriol they spout is not really meant. If you were to hear them an hour or so later they would most likely have a less aggressive attitude. And if it stops them going home hurling abuse at the wife and kids or kicking the dog then I suppose it could be viewed as a good thing.

A very good point Sammy and that’s what it’s always been like. We can all remember our own Dads shouting and bawling at the match and having hissy fits in the car back home and then back home it was normal service resumed and normal boundaries in the house you wouldn’t cross.
It’s a bit like people ranting and raving all the way to Wigan after they have read the team news and declaring The Manager is a f***ing idiot for making 10 changes and hasn’t got clue etc etc. And contining the rant when Davies is replaced by Wildshutt. It’s soon forgotten though when it’s 4-0, isn’t lad and Wildshut has banged one in, we can all then relax for a few days until the next half baked decision is made.
Nay, thrice nay !
Don’t know anbody like that; do you !

When their keeper was fouled before the goal I think even the ref thought , sod it you deserve that.

#karma

Think that most of us thought that their Goalie was fouled; but watching the footage on SKY, nobody touches him and he makes a complete dogs breakfast of catching the ball. Thank you for the added time & three points !

Tuther post about Colchester brought one up too. Pat McGibbon with a really significant goal.

Remember where you were that neet Donny !

Meanwhile, the Latics fans have only been kept awake by the noise of managers arriving then promptly departing at the DW.

Everton have lost just one game this season – at home to Manchester City. But if they had beaten Manchester City, they would be top of the Premier League.

How that would have upset the Bobsessives!

That’s all IF !

It’s as bad as saying IF Bobby hadn’t bottled it against Swansea, the Latics would still be in the Premier league. IF, IF, IF never won nowt !

If Jurgen Klopp is going to bring Heavy Metal football to Liverpool; by way of comparison, what football has Bobby brought to the city ?
