9 attempts each on goal so far of which Blackpool have converted a third of ! We have come out fighting from what I can gather but gate, horse, bolted etc etc !

i only know what paul merson on sky says and i am afraid he doesnt think we have come out fighting,he actually said”if i was martinez i would be worried because they are poor” or “they have had plenty of the ball this half but done nothing with it”

on his last point that is the story of the season so far,to slow with to many ordinary signings.
A) don’t listen to Paul Merson, he’s a lush, you know

B) you lost patience after St Mirren??? You know those games are only marginally less important than a league cup game?
ah but i know what i was watching v st mirren was garbage despite a blip at villa park nothing i have seen since will change my opinion

and for the record merson predicted us to win easily – he has obviously not seen martinez’s tactics.

Half time 3 – 0 plus according to sky blackpool have had a pan full of chances and we have never looked like scoring.

hmmmm, loyal to the end h?
i ve been loyal for as long as i remember some 45 years, but it has and never will stop me expressing my opinion when i see something so wrong at MY club.

Blackpool boss Ian Holloway: “I could tell some of the Wigan players didn’t fancy it when they were warming up. Their manager is different class, we were all swooning over him last year, so their players should shut up and listen to him.”

That’s who’s fault it is. Players. Before anyone starts whining and crying about Whelan and Martinez (you probably have already, I dread to think what rubbish will be posted here tonight and tomorrow) think about this: fringe players were given the opportunity to shine at Blackpool. They clearly didn’t/couldn’t/didn’t want to. I didn’t see the game, I haven’t read the reports. The result is enough for me.

And Holloway’s comments. A proper football bloke who knows what he is talking about.

who fecking signed them ?

players that were ok last term suddenly just gone crap ?

or is it the players that have been brought in

or is it the real reason – shambolic tactics from a second rate management team.

remember one of our main coaches has even managed to be rejected by bury and rochdale !!

I would just like to say that around january i really thought that we had a good team and if we kept the players and spent money in the summer strengthening the team i really thought that we could have pushed for a top 7 place. Now we have totally destroyed the club selling a really good midfield for close on £36 million and in comparison spent hardly anything. Where has all the money gone??? I think this year will be our lowest average crowd because a lot of fans are yellow water off with selling our best players instead of trying to keep them and build a good fan base and team.

are you one of the ones that whelan says dont complain ?

Do certain people think others do not have the nouse to log on to sky sports etc?

Patience my friend!

i lost patience after the st mirren friendly and knew that the poor passing and ultra slow play would cost us and nothing i have seen so far has changed my mind, martinez will not change, any man who cant see that playing a left footer on the right and right footed player on the left (koumas and nzogbia)without even trying something different despite it not working shows how inept he truly is.

What I mean is – I was at the game but didn’t see the fighting in the South Stand. Maybe the poster got it wrong and actually meant the North Stand which i’ve already mentioned. Nothing as been mentioned on C&W which usually has threads about things like this.

sorry i meant the north stand or where the away fans sit,and you know i meant that, you are questioning the fact that the red robin had to be shut and the running battles in goose green and wallgate, but as horc said no one ever hears about the violence in the “friendly sport”,
no one posts photographs on the net straight from the police control room the same evening of a family feud that happened to boil over in the ground(i am not condoning that),
there will be no dawn raids by police without a single person being charged and the evening post just happened to be there !

No the rugby baised/peter aspinall controlled local media does one thing very well.

tomorrows WEP:

LONDON DERBY MARRED BY WAFC

“violence that broke out between rival fans seemed to be caused by thugs in blue and white tops, despite this being millwalls colours the WEP can only presume the tens of thousands of WAFC fans in the area were the real cause””doesnt happen at the rugby”

just as the evening post forgot to mention the fighting in and around the red robin when they played warrington, that caused the landlord to shut up after the match or the mass brrawl with the stewards in the south stand and skirmishes all over town between the worrier and wolves supporters(or friendly scrum downs as the post would describe it)

Last time I went on ‘the lash’ was Cup Final day in May.

Funnily enough, that was in Liverpool as well. But there was a funny atmosphere, especially after Everton lost that day. It kind of spoiled the day, as we could see bother happening.

Where as Sunday will see the place full of merry people, looking to have a good time. It can be the nearest Wigan ever get to playing in the atmosphere of somewhere like Amsterdam. I mean, a place full of tourists and people out enjoying themselves.

I’m not that bothered about the festival, but it all adds to the atmosphere.

have you been booked to appear DAVE ?

3. Gomez. I really like him as a player, and I think he can be a cracker. But I’m not sure if where he is playing is actually working. I’d like to see him and Koumas swapping positions, if we are to keep this formation.

the only person koumas should be swapping positions with is that new mascott fellow, because if he came on suit and all,he’d do more than koumas, and from what ive seen so far gomez and scotland are the same,no pace between the 3 of them, and no skill in scotlands case.

all the clubs expecting to fight it out in the relegation dogfight this season, were thinking pompey are doomed so we only have to finish above 2 more, well after this week, they have all revised that figure.

in reply to: Whelan inth Telegraph #6129

”Our supporters realise who we are and what we are,” he [Whelan]insists. “They’re just happy we are in the Premier League and we have Man United coming here on Saturday. They accept that when we get an offer of £10 million we have to take it. I’ve yet to get a complaint when we sell a player. And they’re as proud as me when they go on to greater things. Or that’s what they tell me.”

???

Who’s they exactly Dave? Lindsay and his bum chums?

Any Latics “supporters” who are just happy with us just being in the PL, star struck that we’re playing United and OK for us to sell our talent when we don’t need to / for less than they’re worth / to rival and non big four clubs ain’t no fans of the Latics.

Deluded.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/footba … United.htm

yes dave we agree that when we get an offer of 10 mil for our best players we have to take it,

what we dont f u c k i n g agree with is letting our best players go for £6 million like you did with cattermole and replacing them with second rate championship ones like gomez and perhaps bodde and this clown is going to cost the same as what we got for catts.

f u c k i n g unbelievable
Cattermole….

Best player…

You sir, clearly know nothing about football
i beg to differ with your opinion, cattermole made us tick in midfield last season as he has done at sunderland so far, plus i said our best PLAYERS not player.
name one in todays teams midfield that is better,
koumas ?(not as good as me)
nzogia ? (seen nothing from him yet to think hes any good)
gomez (mark my words koumas no 2)
thomas(may improve, but in cattermoles league at the moment? do me a favour)
diame(looked ok from first impressions but we need people who hit the ground running)
