I truly do beleive that the majority of Wigan fans want Martinez to succeed. I think he did well the first year considering what he had to work with at the time. However the last 18 months or so have seen some of the most dire football we have seen since Kenny Swain was in charge.
If you consistantly made mistakes at work or in life you would change things no doubt soon after. You would also change things using whatever materials or money you had available. Roberto seems to be too stubborn to change what is obviously not working and he does not seem to have the balls to really go for it (apart from 1 half against West Ham).
A few simple tweaks may help. I mean what other manager who needed a win as desperately as that against another out of form team would turn up and stick 10 players behind the ball hopefully scoring one on the counter?
I’d love to list other things that I feel he/we are doing wrong and they have probably been said on a few other posts. So please Bobby, even if it ultimately fails, please have the balls to try and motivate, nay force the players into being more positive and lets score a few more goals and if we must go down, at least go down fighting.

If you are thinking of joining a gym simply just to lose weight i wouldn’t. The only way of losing the pounds is aerobic exercise, i.e jogging/running, Lifting weights will build muscle but unless you lose the layer of fat covering them you will never see it. Just go for a jog a few days a week down the canal, round a field e.t.c. Jog around for a bit until your body can physically go no further so you know what kind of condition you are in for a starting point then and add a little bit more distance every time until you are doing at least 20 mins a session. Save your money on the gym’s just do the basics first.
All very admirable Yosser but have you tried jogging round Hindley without getting mugged or abused by some Herbert? i intend to do Cardio work only but want to do it somewhere nice and safe and where I can chill out later in the sauna gawping at some bints cleavage!
Maybe if they had dedicated standing areas, we’d get a few more ex fans back and a better atmosphere. Wasn’t something like this discussed a few months back by the football league?
What an absolute shambles today. No heart, no passion, no ideas. Players who didn’t know how to track back, tackle or pass.
I thought it couldn’t get any worse after watching England this summer. But we have our very own version of Don Fabio. A manager who just stood there watching everything falling down before him and not once did he show any heart or seem to have a clue. Why wait til half time to change things?
Well done Blackpool, you showed us what it means to have passion for your team. Marlon Harewood for Fs sake!!! Then again, he’s ten times better then anyone we had today..
