Anyone who found the first 55 mins acceptable must have thought the same about most of our games this season .Plan A is to bore the arse out of us then switch to a faster tempo, more positive set up and finish all guns blazing.He’s hypnotised them so they forget the turgid crap only see the nice stuff.
Hiwula meant the centre backs had someone else to pick up instead of two-ing up on Grigg.Watched the tv re-run this morning and both pundits said the same .We overplayed ,build up too slow and lone forward struggling without support.They put our turn around down to the substitutions and a more direct style……but I suppose they know eff all too…
Poor 1st half.Should have ,would have !!! Fact is 1 up front leaves Grigg constantly running himself ragged with zero reward. We need to let the opposition worry about us.”The only difference is we rode our luck “..seriously ? and not the substitutions gave more support for Grigg and a faster tempo.Nothing like the 1st half at all.
They were 2 up remember !! Screw possession ,counts for nothing .Got out of jail .Irrespective of half chances in 1st half we allowed them to look easily the better team.
Credit to the club if he has signed.No arsing around like past transfer dealings.Granted he has his faults but do we have a better player in the squad at present ?? Not in my view.
Trying not to get dragged into the “Caldwell out ” cry but it wouldn’t surprise me if he was replaced .Very poor set of recent results,dire performances against lower table opposition,shocking to watch and with the squad we have should be doing better.I am stunned that we are still in such a good league position because to be honest I can count on one hand how many decent performances we have actually put in this season.Teams are finding us easy to play against not surprising with our pedestrian build up play.Knocked out of all the cups early doors with a potential trip to Wembley given up in a whimper.All down to the chairman now to decide if the financial predicament shouldn’t we get promoted from this position forces his hand or whether he will ride it out and hope he can turn it round……
We haven’t got a creative midfielder just chasers and Perking who runs all day breaking play up.Been the issue all season and the reason why we get over until in the middle.
Gc needs to stop tinkering with formations…….2 players ok rest crap.Recent games show we will need a mahoosive improvement to even stay in a play off position. Face it Barnsley were pants and we should have taken game to them.Yanic on from start but Mr cautious blows a confidence boosting Wembley trip.Won’t get many better opportunities in the future than today.Gc seems reluctant to take early initiative, look how many times we’ve gone behind particularly away from home.Season heading to halfway for Christ’s sake take the shackles off before we’re playing to a 1/4 capacity home gate !!!!
I’d have took a point beforehand so gotta be pleased.I am interested to hear from fans who went as to how they looked.One worry for me is the 1 goal in last three games .
Shocking performance but to be honest I really couldn’t give a toss ,it’s the league only that counts for me. Away form is a worry though and the fact that Bury have managed 2 wins and a draw against us and in all 3 games against them they have looked comfortable apart from last 15 mins in the league game.Our home form is Ok for now but conceding like we do away needs to improve and I for 1 think our league position is about right for how we have performed so far. If we are 5 or six points off top come New Year I will be very pleased considering the staff revolving door summer we had.
