Come on ,how much help did we need .FA 3pts deduction and still we balls it up.Hope I’m wrong but I can see Rotherham showing us how to scrap for a point needed not a whimpering pile of crap we have produced.

Clarke-Fortune too similar.Either one with McKay and if we’d still have bombed then I would have accepted that and the fact that Caldwell swapped things and did his best with what he had.You have your opinion but we were absolutely toothless and starting with McClean up front was bollocks as the result proved.

You play 2 recognised strikers.Of the 18 strikers who scored in the championship on Saturday how many do you rekon were having blinders or playing for a team that was playing well on the day?.I bet a good proportion were anonymous but got a goal out of nothing or against the run of play.Instinct is the key and Mckays decent strike rate means he must has some of it.He started with a winger up front.Back to the using players in their best positions ,being we needed a win all that possession worked a treat .

Granted but 10 corners against 4..67% possession ,8 shots against 3,…lo and behold didn’t score and lost again.Caldwell dicked it up .Not starting with a recognised forward in a crunch game was a joke.

Neutral journo in todays press..”Latics rarely troubled keeper Thomas Kuszczak, their approach play was too slow and their lack of a striker glaring “.So which match were some of you lot at then ?

Since when was Billy McKay given a chance to prove himself ?.10 mins here 20 there whilst we persist with either Fortune on his own or a winger standing in.His goal to game ratio at Inverness 110 games ,54 goals so he has something about him.As another poster stated how could we have been any worse if we had started the pair of them but previous 2 managers refused to so no goals means league 1 .

Such an important game ,so why didn’t he just go for it and play both forwards ? Leaving them on the bench for nearly an hour did not work did it ? We didn’t score, didn’t get any points and are now virtually gone however well we played.Rotherham and Millwalls forwards bailed them out.18 forwards scored today in the championship and not all playing for top 10 sides. They can’t steal us a goal with bench splinters in their arses !IMO he took a gamble and it shat on him.

I must be in the minority because all I could hear walking home was how well we played,”weve got our club back”,”Caldwell has got us playing again”,”looking forward to smashing league 1 “.Really ??….From where I was sat it was toothless yet again and the 2 forwards sat on bench was tantamount to gross negligence. As for smashing league 1 ? not with Careful Caldwell at the helm.

Couldn’t agree more.Persevered with 1 who has been nothing more than pitiful, but being we had limited options hen I cannot understand why we didn’t give them a run out together. Played ok today but guess what ? no goals .

I know but still beats playing with a straight line runner up front AKA McClean…Trying not to lose tactics rather than going out and win. Where have I seen that before ?

Jesus I’m not blaming him for our plight but his team selections certainly didn’t give us the best chance of hitting the net.Might as well sell McKay cos it doesn’t look like he’ll get any pitch time under Caldwell either. No forwards till 56 mins and already a goal down when he changed it…too late.Don’t know if the penny still not dropping with some folks but strikers have played in that position since childhood and it’s an instinct based role which you can’t expect from a player thrust in as a makeshift striker. .I would always rather start with a striker than not as even when not playing well can steal you a goal.Take a look at Millwall and Rotherham’s scorers today…..both forwards.Sorry but if this is whats to come then don’t expect goals galore next season.

The point I’m making is our forwards won’t bag sat on the bench. All the ball but ball all to show for it …again.

Great possession. ….but guess what ?..No strikers yet again…….big 2nd half and so far Caldwells team selection is p@@@ poor again. All the usual names Rhodes.gesture. Garner all bagged. What is it with our thick managers ?

Jesus ….McClean whatever his end product still has 6 league goals against MAF’S 1 and would be 1 of the first on the team sheet for me.We don’t have any “really good ” players any more but he for passion alone is a stand out.
