Sorry ….Nahki. ……predictive text and me don’t fit !
Thought Napkins Wells could have been a reasonable investment considering our vacuum up top. Flew out of the traps yesterday on his debut and seems a snip at the reported 1.2 million.
Fair enough Holt can do better but strewth the service to him was crap with crosses about as bad as ive seen for a long time.If your playing to his strengths then its balls in from wide and yesterday we barely got 1 in the box.
Thanks for that….enjoyed the memories.I went to the Carling cup semi final at Highbury and wonder if anyone can post highlights of the game as I have still never seen the game again.Trawled you tube but no luck.
Part of me disappointed to lose but part happy that Rosler sees 1st hand what an absolute mess this squad is .Coyles saturation transfer policy means we have quantity and little quality. Wev’e heard it before but come the window we somehow have to offload some of the dross that the previous manager brought in .Might be best to ride rest of season out and do the clean up in the summer as mid table looks our best finishing position.God luck Uwe ,get yourself some waders and a big shovel !!
Well done Mr Whelan.!!….a great appointment and hopefully a successful one.Much more palatable to me than the usual merry go round managers .
What a bollocks…..whole back line and midfield should be too.Nothing like scapegoatism !
Christ ..get off Holt’s case ,the damage was done before he got on….Coyle seems to have run out of idea’s .Keane starting was a no no,maybe as a 2nd half sub but smacks of a manager who’s really struggling. Is it time to change ?.I don’t know .One thing I know is if Whelan keeps faith with him then that war chest should be hidden along side the holy grail before january.Credit to Derby who pressed us for every ball and worked well as a unit from back to front albeit 1st half we made it easy for them.
Like I said…R.L.W.C. perm any 2 from 2.
We have one of the largest championship squads but during all the pre- season transfer activity seem to have signed 12 to add to our squad and ended up with 2 forwards who look as potent as Pele’s pecker !!
A team full of mediocrity. Most of the signings are from the “you get what you pay for ” philosophy .Why do we never have a 15-20 goal a season striker and please don’t give me the everyone is after the same.I rate Holt as a target man and never a pure finisher and as for Fortune the less said the better. We seem to have tightened up at the back but with Macmanaman looking a shadow of his end of last season self and Maloney injured then I don’t see our performances changing anytime soon.If you are waiting for a window spending spree then don’t hold your breath and anyway it’s the wrong time for a mid table team to throw money around.Albeit I wish our team the best in their European campaign to me it’s nothing more than a good reason for a foreign jolly and a cup that is so diluted it really would be a blessing in disguise when we exit it.Then again promotion now looks a distant dream so maybe this is our only chance of silverware … :woohoo:
I’d take Dean Windass at the mo..
Feel free…..I won’t stop you.
Let’s face it..RLWC..perm any 2 from 3 or more likely 2 from 2 !!
A few teams above had bad day a few below good one.Granted a long haul 3 days before Yeovil game not ideal but got to see this as a 3pt banker if we are serious about pressing top 6.Surely the away goal drought must end…….musn’t it ?
