John Doughnut ,another one who clings on to Robbies shirt tails .Admiration can be blinding you know .I’ve no problem with the lemming like hypnotic trance your in but don’t try to convince anyone that Robbie the winless has been anything other than a balls up.And you wiil never be in a position to yank my strides down as I have an industrial strength Simon Cowell belt holding them up .
Someone on here once said “would you have signed Yakubu with his lack of form and looking overweight “? Without a doubt ,he scores goals ,remember them ?Always has done ,always will. How many Prem goals had Di Santo scored before we wasted 2.5 mill on him ?Our manager wouldn’t know one. If Van Basten came back in a time tunnel and pleaded for a game he’d say thanks but no thanks .
Come on then make a defence case for the football horror show that has been Robbies tenure apart from the usual we are little poor Wigan .
No I’m sorry,on a financial basis non of us know the exact facts but on the surface we seem to have a steady ship.On a purely footballing basis he has been a train wreck .We have been butchered on too many occasions whilst maintaining this keep ball 1 up strategy. Our build up play has been pedestrian and when we have eventually got the ball in the box no one on the end of it.Remember these are his players his methods so he is responsible.A purely hypothetical question for you .Exactly 12 months from now say we are sitting 3 from the bottom of the championship and his football ideology remains the same ,would you want him out or would you still be happy with him ?
Halford’s really is a cloth headed numb nuts. It’s not good business practice in the January window and facing relegation to be alienating potential signings with financial penalties brought on by the playing staff and management prior to his arrival. And for your information he was willing to sign for less pay than W Ham offered. You just cling on to Robbies apron strings while he leads you smiling and dancing to div 1.
I think this was a major case of false economy. He could have nicked a goal or two to keep the Prem money rolling in or worse case the goals that have us challenging for promotion next season.Either way you can see now why I am so annoyed that with all the goal-scoring issues we’ve had for the last 3 seasons when we do find someone willing to join the cause we let a brainless issue over pay cut sever the deal.I don’t think any player would have accepted that kind of request in the January window when we were in bottom 3.That’s why only monkey’s will feed on our peanuts .
I know the reason was because he wanted assurances that if Wigan were relegated his pay would remain the same.At the 11th hour he was informed that the club insisted on a 25% pay cut if this should happen. Why should he sign for a team that through no fault of his were looking likely to drop and be expected to be penalized financially .If the club wanted him a reasonable request like that should have been readily accepted. He would have been an excellent acquisition for our championship charge should we have gone down.I can assure you that thes eare the facts but I am not at liberty to reveal how I know this.
Statistically we don’t win so we are goosed !!!
Back to back wins once in 105 games statistically unquestionable………I’m still waiting for a response as Robbie the winless states “that shows great maturity “.Not some pre-pubescent ramblings of a fingers in the ears and it’ll all be ok Robbie-ite.
Stats dont lie……….I’m still waiting ..
Just deciphering your post Still can’t a defence argument stat in there yet . :P
Ripping the shit out of mid table W Brom,Villa,Norwich ,Everton ,Swansea,Bolton=…7/18….Must try harder. We were unlucky at Qpr,Swindon and should have been 4 up at home to Sunderland before being mauled 4-1.Recognize any similarities ? Whats improved then ? I’m waiting .!!
Too late now don’t you think Mr Halfords ,I mean he’s already done his damage but hey I’ll bet you cant wait to get back in the championship ,maybe win a game or two.Robbie would have been potted at any other club a few games after the chelsea home defeat which followed the balls ups that were Spurs,Chelsea and then Blackpool.Haven’t we improved since then ,I mean we are 1 off the bottom now and had a good cup run ,can’t win or score ,but we are very easy on the eye.How many more cast iron stats would you like to analyze before you join the real world ?I’ve no doubt you’ll bleat on about being little Wigan ,no money, and that we had inflated expectations .He has achieved nothing results wise in 3 seasons ,wasted what cash he’s had and if anyone thinks different then keep taking the medication.
2 of those were non starters cos I don’t think they want to be on their own or pushed out wide .We also tried to get Maynard 6 months before but wouldn’t stump up 3.5 mill asking price so missed the boat on that one .Does any poster know the reason Maynard turned us down last window because I do ?
I would love to know which games jrfatfan deems as winnable .Haven’t we had a few of those recently ?Don’t you think your winnable game watering hole is nearly empty and maybe you are the head up Robbie’s rear pillock on this forum !
