We had injury problems of our own ,notably playing a YTS lad in the centre of defence who went off injured early on ( don’t know how the Sunderland player got away with at least a booking ).
Please tell me you werent the fella in ES8 who spent the next 50 minutes shouting at Simms and the ref over the challenge eventually to lose his voice. I was sat looking directly at the penalty spot and whilst there was contact, it came about because of a shit touch by the lad who mis-controlled it so that Simms had a chance to get the ball.
And the penalty wasnt soft – Roberts was cut in half by a crude challenge and I didnt see much of a protest from the home side. Nobody near me (80 yards away) knew what it had been given for at the time, but everyone accepted that it must’ve been a pen because of the lack of protest.
I guess it must have been an awful showing as Sunderlands starting XI had 7 of the regulars either out or on the bench:
Gooch
Batth
Cirkin
Evans
Pritchard
Roberts
StewartFrom an outsider looking in, you were woeful in the first half, lucky to be level, started the 2nd half in a far more physical manner and got at us for about 15 mins, then when Stewart & Roberts came on, you couldn’t cope with the pass and move game and physicality was irrelevant. The 3rd goal was exactly what happens when plodders run out of puff and the 4th was pure class.
McLean is a liability against Sunderland as he can’t cope with the abuse and loses his head. There was one occasion last night where he chased the ball from east to west stand, only for us to quickly move it back and gallop down the right unchallenged.
Yes I was there.
Resorting to petty insults just makes you look silly by the way.
You overpaid in wages last year to attract the likes of Wyke, Jones etc, and whilst they were good enough at the time for L1, they were never going to be Championship quality a year later. If you want a scapegoat, then I suggest you look at whoever was splashing the cash and acting all billy big bollocks instead of quietly rebuilding from the foundations upwards after admin.
Good luck for the rest of the season. Its going to be bloody tough with that group, but at least most of them will be out of contract come June and then your owner can try rebuilding a squad properly.

No. Lack of public transport today and supporters coaches dont run from Lincolnshire – did you make the trip to Boro?
Seven games in and I’ve still not seen an opposition side and thought “wow”.
So, 24 games in and there have only been two occasions I thought “wow” – the 2nd halves against Burnley and WBA when the opposition suddenly remembered they had Premier League quality all over the park and made it count. Burnley will go up automatically, and WBA will make the playoffs.
The rest hasnt impressed me much. The 2nd half of the season will boil down to whether the opposition’s power and height can overcome our skill and pace. Blackburn were big and powerful today and still came up short.

How the likes of Amos, Tilt, Power, Darakwa, McClean and dare I say it Keane (tbf due to the position he played) got selected week in week out when they were worse than awful, beggars belief.
I did tell you that super-Max wasnt championship standard.
If Broadhead is taking the piss and feigning injury then he’s bang out of order, that Blackpool game was a six pointer.
On the flip side he’s probably seen his arse and got a strop on because of the lack of game time since he came to Wigan he probably thinks that had an affect on him not making the Wales squad, only one person to blame for that!
He’s the best attacking player at your club Bullitt. But he’s probably the least committed attacking player. Not one to put his body on the line for the cause – as we found out last season when he was “injured”, which coincided with the awful run in Jan & Feb that ultimately cost us a top two spot.
I suspect he’ll return to Everton in January and either go back on loan elsewhere or be sold by 1 Feb. His contract runs out in the summer, and I cant see Everton offering another contract to a 24 year old with barely 50 EFL games in his career. Its their last chance to get any money for him.
He has history for having injuries, and it has been implied before that these injuries perhaps are more “thinks he’s injured”
He came to Wigan to get game time in an attempt to force his way into Wales’ World Cup Squad.
Plays all the games and isnt injured.
He wasnt picked for that squad.
He suddenly has an injury.

Congratulations – you have out-basketcased Sunderland there by potting a manager a week after giving him a 3 year deal. What happens now to the Liam Richardson Stand?
Shows how far they have fallen and how far we have come when they treat their goal as if they had won the world cup!!!
The midlands equivalent of those bastards from black rod !!Possibly celebrating because they knew that the losers would be in the bottom three by 10pm. I know its not even half-way through the season, but being stuck in the bottom 3 for a month during the World Cup will be a very depressing experience for whichever clubs are there.
