  • Your anti-Lennegan stance does you no credit Cup Winners. I dont see you criticising Whelan for not riding to the rescue, despite being the bloke who, after 18 months of due diligence and promises to only sell to someone with the interests of WAFC at heart (like him), flogged it to a far east consortium that have used the club for nothing more than a money laundering vehicle.

I honestly do not know how Dave Whelan can sit on so much wealth at the age he is and watch the club die a slow death.

I can only imagine that his silence is because he is one of the parties who are still interested. If he’s not, then the next thing to go to fund salaries should be his statue.

Egg, do we know the total debt the club has?. This loan agreement appears to be as clear as mid.

    Feck all according to SSB…

Excellent negotiating there, when we desperately need money to remain Wigan Athletic in administration no owner and ready to be dissolved we say:

A fee for a kid with potential, but who’d not exactly ripped up trees thus far and a 20% sell-on clause sounds like shrewd business to me. If Leeds develop him into a top star and sell him for £50m, thats £10m in the coffers – probably equivalent to the entire turnover for 12 months.

Southampton had a 25% sell-on clause for Gareth Bale when he moved to Spurs, which they relinquished for £3m. Sometimes, these clauses can be worth a small fortune.

Thinking about it, I think cupwinners is right.
Your sources are pretty poor Ad and Jackson was at fault for the administration for not bringing someone onto the board to fix the vote.
If anyone is going to know what went on I would think that rather than ask the people who were there we would be best asking some guy in last orders.
I’m team cupwinners on this one

And you have the nerve to accuse me of shit stirring….. :negative: ;-)

:negative: Actually it wasnt. As much as I dislike the purile attitude of the likes of Bullitt, Bickymon and yourself towards Wigan warriors, I wouldnt wish their club to go bust (unlike the bile that you three collectively spout towards a sporting team that has fuck all to do with football and has fuck all to do with the pile of shit you find yourself in).

Now take that fucking chip off your shoulder and start smelling the coffee. You need all the help you can get, even if it comes in the shape of a rugby mon. Start having some humility man.

All for transfers those. Moore, Williams, Robinson, Lowe

My mistake. I didnt realise the club had the £6m+ stashed away in a notice account that they withdrew when a payment was due. I was under the impression that any future purchaser would have to fund those as well (ie they were debts, albeit future ones)

    Pinocchio can play Whelan.

What are these debts you speak of muttster?

“North of 6 million” was what the administrator said on the podcast.

I’d take him as a reliable source.

Watch the podcast online by Jay Whittle great interview with the admin. Answered every question clearly. Didn’t try to hide anything and explained why they had made certain decisions and what they still needed to do.

Have you got a link to it?

The longer it goes on, the gloomier it looks. I’m beginning to suspect there is no buyer at the moment and the Administrator has been trying to entice interest by implying there was a lot of interest. As Cup Winners says, who wants to buy a business with much outlay, debts a plenty and no income stream aside from flogging your assets, which you actually need to operate.

I hope I’m wrong, but the longer it goes on, the more a Bolton/Bury situation becomes a reality.

Folk like Will Grigg, who is on significantly more than 2K a week, will be getting a big dose of reality next time his contract is up for renewal, when he gets offered about 20% of his current wage. And even at that level, its too bloody much!

Again…….scored goals at every club in that league that he has played for except one. I wonder what the problem could be??

Playing in front of a five-figure crowd isn’t his thing I guess. Here’s hoping that playing in front of empty seats will re-ignite his goalscoring prowess.

He’s stated his desire to come back here on numerous occasions……

Where these occasions when he was in or out of work?

If Lenegan buys the club, i will never step foot in that stadium again!

    Get it bought Pollard lad.

For that alone, I’d happily stick a few quid into IL’s purchase fund. :yahoo:
