I always thought that Warriors fans were ok and most I would imagine are indeed. The ones I was amongst let the club down badly.
I suspect the ones you came across haven’t set foot in the DW for a long time and used the event as an excuse to get tanked up – if they needed an excuse.

The niceties of a run in a minor competition are far outweighed by the requirement for the additional revenue of being in a higher league. Getting out of the 3rd division is the No 1 priority, and I would expect GC to play his best XI in every league game until that is achieved.
Let those who are on the fringes play in the cup competitions and prove they are worthy of a pace in the first team.
Err, because the international striker is more likely to shoot on target and work the goalkeeper, because they are top players. The 3rd rate bloke is more likely to shoot off target, which renders the standard of keeper irrelevant. That’s why they are plodding around in the 3rd division.

I’m a great believer in letting one on ones go as the amount of times the attacker misses is far more than they score.You have a point there. It wasn’t Luis Suarez or Sergio Aguero bearing down on goal, it was a Port Vale striker. The odds on 3rd division strikers sticking them away when one-on-one is a lot higher than your multi-million pound internationals.
