Can’t really expect anything from Chelsea, Man City, or Spurs (away).
Blackpool will be buzzin and fired up for the game, hopefully we’ll still win it, but a point wouldn’t be a disaster.
We can beat Sunderland, but I’d expect a draw.

Six points max, four points probable, two points will signal a long hard season and the need to get the cheque book out in January.

The lad is keener than a puppy chewing on a table leg I’ll give him that

I think/hope you’re right.

His first post was about his trip over from Ireland and links to his Facebook page. All the replies seemed to be welcoming him to CL and praising his efforts at following Latics.

At least that’s my recollection of it.

I think now he’s just trying to find something/anything to post to get his post count up.

If not then he’s just another unfunny multi.

If you’re reading this Donnelly, try laying off the copy and paste and add your own thoughts to other people’s threads for a while rather than struggling to find something to start your own thread with.

42 years owd and managed to put it on iPad and iPhone.

Great link. Thanks.

And I didn’t need to ask the kids either!

So go on, how do you do it then?
Follow the link, choose your calendar type and follow what’s on the screen.

If I remember right it asks you to ‘subscribe’ to the calendar you choose, in my case iCal (for the iPad) and the iPhone link. It then asks if you want to ‘view’ or ‘close’.

If you choose view it opens a calendar with all the fixtures in it, but none of your existing appointments.
If you choose close then you will need to open your calendar as normal, but you will not see the fixtures immediately. You will need to click ‘calendars’ at the top of the screen you will find a link to the fixtures.

NOTE: It doesn’t put the fixtures into your existing calendar. It creates a new one.

I haven’t tried Outlook yet as I’ve spent the first half hour at work this morning on here, but I’ll give at go at lunchtime and see how that works.

in reply to: Bobby’s Interview #40032
He goes onto say that he hopes that when we lose a player, the fans understand somebody is there and ready to fill the void.

In other words, brace yourselves for some bad news that no-one will like.

I’m not naturally on the dark side, but I reckon this means N’zogbia or Rodellega is on the way out.
:(

I think Bramble is a great player, but he needs to remain focussed on his own game.

We all know what can happen if he has a lapse in concentration.

For me, Bramble shouldn’t be captain.

I’m going to stick my neck out here and throw Gohouri into the mix. I think he played well at the end of last sseason and he seemed to be urging others on too.

in reply to: the new range rover #39970
It is designed primarily for the ladees market though.

You might be thinking of the new baby range rover ‘the evoque’ due out next year.
The facelift of the Range Rover is still a proper grown up machine for men. Although one designed by VB would clearly break this chauvinistic viewpoint of mine!

Was once at a corporate golf day a couple years ago attended by Bruno Brookes. Being my usual self, I didn’t wait for the correct introductions, but just went over, thrust my hand out and turned to my mate with the camera for a picture and gushed, “fck me, thanks Cheggers. Used to love you on the Telly.”

I once had dancing lessons from Bonnie Langford.

I also danced naked on Comic Relief in front of Lenny Henry, Zoe Ball, Bonnie Langford and a TV audience of about 9million. And when I say naked, I mean stark b o l l o c k naked.

Was once served a beer by a Black Eyed Pea and offered drugs by Oasis’ own dealer.

Got chatted up by some presenter of one of those Location, Location type TV shows when she noticed I had a VIP pass at V Festival. She still didn’t get in the VIP area.

Right now there’s probably a few players that could have offered more. Hindsight is a great gift.

I can’t help thinking that Capello made a monumental mistake dropping Green. It sends the message to all the players that one mistake and you’re out. The result is a very nervy, tense team that avoids making mistakes, but does absolutely nothing and takes no risks. I think that’s part of what we saw last night.

James

Johnson Terry Dawson A Cole

Barry
Lennon SWP

Lampard Gerrard

Rooney

If that’s not working at half time Joe Cole and Defoe get a go.

in reply to: World Cup Manager 2010 #38009

Agree about SWP’s form last season not being worthy of selection, but when he’s come on in the last couple of games for England he’s had an impact (in my opinion).

He’s had an impact all right – the number of times he’s ran straight into the full backs when running forward is testament to that.
If he was a) running and b) going forward then he clearly had a bigger impact than most of the other players! ;)
