Needs to seriously think about signing some decent forwards who have got sufficient experience and aren’t past it. I think we have plenty options in defence & midfield.
Painfully true Filmoss. Same Philosophy, Similar tactics but far better players! Lukaku, Barry, Barkley, Baines, Jagielka and Howard all look like world beaters at the moment.Yes okay, better players; but if you consider the “mini league” at the lower half of the Prem, then surely we had a good enough team to finish above the bottom three. Maybe it’s a league of contrasting styles, cos I seem to recall that we looked better against classier opposition and failed miserably to beat the average teams. I think I’ve hit the nail on the head; Bobby had one style. Had he been more adaptable then we might have survived.
But I don’t suppose Roberto is losing much sleep over it..

It was a thoroughly depressing performance. But it’s even more depressing that Coyle won’t admit it.Coyle started with honest post-match interviews – I think we’ve sent the last of those.
