We were very crap today. One of the worst displays ive seen this season. On a couple of positive notes, the warm welcome return of paul scharner – man of the match for me & at least we got a result despite playing crap.
I agree with your comnent griff but do feel the club could/should have tried harder in bringing a decent winger/wingback & striker, especially with boselli out on loan & kone in africa (when is he back btw). I do feel we are still light. But in bob we trust!
In response to my question, i agree with 35years. We haven’t played with a first choice defence all season which invariably unsettles everytthing. It seems that everytime we get a settled defence, one gets injured. I know souness blamed the amount of. injuries on newcastle going
down. If we stay up this season it will be more of a success than the previous 3 seasons solely because of the injuries.I was wound up mr griff. Bad day!!
Make that 2 -1. Come on wigan.
Ah well. 2 – 0 now.
If his head & heart are in the right place – a resounding yes.
He has probably been our only natural goalscorer we have had in the prem.I’d have him back. To be fair griff, i think he could walk right into the team.
&, irrespective of what division we are in, who the manager is, what players we have, etc, etc.
Mr stroker, im afraid your way off target. Basically in my previous job i had 2 weekends off in 4 & my kind company allowed me to have the wigan games off, so long as i worked the other 2 weekends, everything was fine. In addition, at the start of this season (well may) i was asked if i would like to be coach for my sons under 8’s football team – to which i accepted. However, a lot of my teams home matches kick off at 2.30pm & i have missed at least 5 games this season already as it takes at least 30 mins to get from runcorn.
I started my new job last monday & it would seem 1 weekend in 4 & some of my shifts are in the afternoon – so i could do my teams matches, but not wigan’s.
So its not because the team aren’t doing as well as what i thought we would – it is simply because of those reasons. & if you want to know what shit was – i remember the dark days of kenny swain & playing in front of crowds of 1200 – 1500 & yes, i was one of that paltry crowd (was you mr stroker)? In fact, this is my 35th season of supporting wigan & there have been seasons where i have been unable to attend mainly because of work purposes, & its now looking like next season might be the same. I’ll try to get to odd games, hence the reason for my original post.
It would be brill if he could play a stronger team in the next round. But i still think bobby will concentrate more upon premier league survival.
Which multi poster do you think it is.
“martinez is leaving this week”.
Where did you get your information from mr sodit. & on that note, he is to be replaced by whom…?
Mr eaststander, the booing comment was on another thread. Not this one.
Sorry mr eaststander, nothing else to confess to i’m afraid.
