Not too worried about Powell taking over Southend

I think we will miss him personally ;)[/quote]

I thought powell had stayed. Has he gone there as player manager ;)

Ben Watson has left Watford and is free to find another club.
    Is it worth approaching him???

Would he come to league 1 though?.
We could snap him up for the man city game & bring him on us a sub.

Talking about being positive, Blackburns gaffer talking positive last night about 2 home games on the bounce Northampton and Walsall max 6 points to turn the screw on us, “it’s football Tony it doesn’t always goes to plan”

Well! Thats one game that hasn’t gone to plan.

    Top performance, top result…But…

    West Ham were dreadful
Will Powell and Grigg still be here on 1st Feb?
I’m away for the 5th round….didnt factor in FAC R5 when booking hols

Mmm! The way powell was playing it looked like he was putting himself in the shop window. Then again, he could play like that because he had time on the ball. I personally do not think we will sell anyone & i said it in august too. We are top of the league & surely we wont jeopardise that – will we!!!

Best I’ve seen us play for a long time, every player. Perfect performance, almost!

It was because west ham didnt park the bus like recent teams at the DW. Nonetheless, it was indeed a good performance.

I think jones will come in for walton, elder for james, vaughn for grigg & colclough for jacobs. Walker for massey if fit.

West Ham should be favourites for this game, but one thing for sure is we’ll give them a good run for their money.

I think jimmy it all depends on what team cook puts out tomorrow.

I don’t understand the problem people have with new fans. At some point we were all new fans to some people and for the club to evolve and be successful we need the next generation of new fans each time. We should welcome them and listen to their opinions rather than think we are better than them or are a more valuable fan with more rights because we happened to have been going for 20, 30, 40 or even 50 years. I love seeing kids there and think it’s great when we get a big crowd in.

You know what. You are spot on there!! Good post.

Our very first season in the football league in the 1978/79 season was when i made my bow as a 6 year old.

As far as we are concerned after todays results is it now down to 3? We have a ten point lead over fourth and played a game less.

11 points if you include the goal difference.

If perkins goes, & with evans gone, that leaves us slightly light in midfield. Especially as mcdonald is injured again.

I was frustrated when cook swapped grigg for vaughan. I was actually expecting him to take a midfielder off & play 2 up front & go for it.
