Thought Alcaraz had a superb game last night….
I though his distribution was poor last night. Gave the ball away far too often. But I’m nit-picking.
Well done to the Latics fans behind the goals tonight, fantastic noise from start to finish. It sounded great from the Jack Walker Stand. It would have sounded even better if the fans on the one side could have made the same noise as those on the other.
So he planned for us to be shite for 90% of the season knowing that this superb run of results was coming???Yes he did. Quite wonderful isn’t he!
The OP was suggesting that Blackburn don’t have anything to play for and they might make it difficult for us by not opening up and going for the win. I’m suggesting they do have an incentive to win, by as many goals as possible. It’s their only option on the night if they trying to be realistic about staying up.
I think Blackburn will go for it. If they beat us say, 2-0, the the GD will only be +2 in our favour. We lose by the odd goal against Wolves, and they win by the odd goal it will then go down to goals scored and their’s is far superior to ours.
Yes but they still have the small hurdle of Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, who will still have quality players available that are not going to play in Munich.
Agreed but it is an incentive for them to try and beat us by at least a two goal margin tomorrow night.I think Blackburn will go for it. If they beat us say, 2-0, then the GD will only be +2 in our favour. We lose by the odd goal against Wolves, and they win by the odd goal it will then go down to goals scored and their’s is far superior to ours.
Given that scenario, and Bolton fail to win at Stoke, Blackburn stay up.Bolton’s final game is winnable, I wouldn’t wanna be in Mark Hughes shoes right now !!Bolton have been poor of late so it’s a big ask for them to win at Stoke, although they do have a week’s rest for a change.
City won’t screw up, will they….????
We won’t screw up. will we….????
Dafter things have happened!Nope. Blackburn will be relegated. However, if Bolton beat Stoke next week and QPR lose at City, QPR go down.
Edit: Double post with Jayt
how can whelan affect anything?he dosent pick the team, or tell em to play shite…
or does he?
Nah. It’s just Bicky and his paranoid obsession with his estranged father.
I’m sure there is no doubt where Whelan’s loyalties lie but I don’t think he wants Wigan to be the team that actually relegates Blackburn even though whatever happens today and on Monday isn’t going to alter that.
The one thing that has made me laugh is the I told you so Lightsiders,I may have missed something here but who exactly have been saying “I told you so”?
Oh dear!
Thats the kiss of death for Monday night then.
”After receiving a favourable weather report”????
Putting a lot more faith in the weather forecasters that I would. Next doors cat has more idea what the weather will be like a week tomorrow than they do!I’ve got a fish that forecasts the weather. I bet you can’t guess what we call him?
I bet he’s spectacularly poor at predicting hurricanes!
He’s terrible, but we all still love Wanda just the same.
You’d better keep a watch out for next door’s cat then!”After receiving a favourable weather report”????
