Last year i thought that burnley would be lucky to get any points from their first 8 games, and because of this put quite a lot of money on them to be relegated. Ok they were, but after the start they had i didn,t half do some sweating till about January.
but then again 3-10 for blackpool this time. better return than the bank,
and it makes the season a little exiting, unless they have a good start like burnley, then more sweating.Do you think they’ll get tonked 8-0 and 9-1?
There seems to be a paradox here.
On the one hand he gets slagged of for being a “tight-arsed git” and on the other gets slagged off for selling players too cheaply.
Can’t be both, can it?wouldnt want to,cant blame a guy who wants to double or treble his wages
but our leader came out with brownie again
these players will only be sold to top clubs
sunderland, stoke wtfI thought you might have sussed Whelan and his soundbites by now. Every team in the Prem – with the possible exception of Blackpool – are bigger than us, which I suppose makes them top clubs. And if Sunderland offer £10m and Chelsea only £9m I suppose Whelan should only consider selling to Chelsea.
the offer is just short of ten million which as been accepted
saying no fooking more
and this is a reliable sourceSo if this is true – £10m seems a good price to me – and N’Zogbia wants to go, for whatever reason, how would you go about persuading him to stay at little ol’ Wigan?
It’s Wiganers in general. They just like to whinge, irrespective of which code they follow.
Having just renewed my season ticket i am now having doubts over the reason why. Once again we are selling our best players. Cant blame the players, as it has been said loads of times most of us would move jobs for more money etc…..But bloody hell, buying a season ticket is like going to into comet and asking for a washing machine, and the bloke in the shop digging one out from the back you have never seen
Its not saying its going to be a rubbish one, it might even be a cracker, but you are buying blind, like us with our season tickets, who knows what we will be watching nexrt season, a top notch Bosch or a Beko ( i am not an expert on these things!) but you get my drift.
Congratulation Craig, for that perfect definition of a JCL.
I’m lost for words..
No matter how much I try I really can’t convince myself I believe you.
The lad is keener than a puppy chewing on a table leg I’ll give him thatSo keen in fact, he should be be a mod….!
And what, pray tell, does a lefty, do-gooder flat-dick know, or have to contribute, about football?Sexist and controversial.
But true…….!
I think the fact that Jimmy was willing to go to a club like Hull on £45k per week, reputedly rising to £60k per week on appearances, gives an insight into his attitude in these matters.
What it means for sure is that a precedent has been set and there is now no reason that Wigan Warriors home playoff game cannot be played on 12 September.Don’t think there was ever a problem with the rugby following the football other than the turn-around time. The ground staff will have over 24 hours to make the stadium ready for the rugby play-off rather than the much shorter time-scale for a Friday night rugby / Saturday afternoon football match, so I can’t see that any precedent has been set.
If it ever goes to court he could say to the judge, “In my defence Mallard”.
Michael Hutchence tried many times to get into Kylie’s knickers but gave up claiming it’s was nigh impossible.
“I’m not holding my breath on any successful outcome”, said Michael. Although it seems he apparently was! From a different source…… The truth about why England failed at the world cup.Courts held a further 2 week gagging order on steve gerrards private life,
turns out he got his wifes sister pregnant (not a 16 year old )
Will hit the newspaper in 14 days, the judge held the gagging order to
protect FA while they decide on capello, and the future of English footy..
John terry and the England boys all know about it and JT had a argument
with capello because Gerrard got to keep the captains armband. the tension in the camp was down to JT and half the team saying Gerrard was a disgrace and the other half of the squad backing Gerrard..The press conference was related to the tension and JT wanted Gerrard exposed – they hate each other..From lawyers, so there may be some truth in it.
Did you know the word gullible does not appear in any English dictionary?
I must have missed those games.
Warrington and St Helens if I remember rightly.[/quote]
Ah, that’s the reason why then. -
