He doesn’t know his @rse from his Elba.
Tough choice, but I’ll go for:
1. Dave Whelan. Contrary to some of the nonsense on this site, we’d still be playing Macclesfield and Bury if wasn’t for him.
2. Sir Lidds. No words needed.
3. de Zeeuw. As per Lidds.
If it’s a straight choice between Rodders and Bosselli, I’ll take Rodders please.
As I’ve said in previous postings, Newcastle can always me cheer up on a bad day.
I wonder what their odds for relegation has shortened to over the last couple of days.
I can’t agree on Watson Duke.
I do think he was stupendously bad for the first 20 minutes, but after that I thought he was generally pretty good.
As for the teaser, I don’t have a clue.
Away at Telford in the Cup around 82. Roy Tunks tries to save a shot with his @rse. He didn’t, we lost, but it was worth it for Tunksy’s theatrics.
Hope he rots somewhere.
I had to laugh at the guy on Radio 5, who was claiming that he was supposed to be out in Barcelona to provide commentary on the game, but due to flight disruption was sent to Droylseden vs Orient instead.
Most people only sing “Is running down the” so it’s officially 8 words.Looks like just 4 words to me.
It’s an awkward one this.
From my own perspective, I remember being as angry as %”&^ when Liverpool put a team of reserves out against Fulham in 06/07, which gave Fulham a win that kept them up and nearly sent us down. However I was chuffed to bits when Pompey fielded a bunch of kids against us at the end of last season. Not though that one made any difference though; we were dismal that night.
However what galls everyone is the inconsistency. Whether it is 10 changes as per Blackpool last night, or a couple of changes that top4 teams make prior to a Champions League game, the principle is still the same to me; i.e. they’re both keeping players out from one game for what they consider are more important games ahead. If you fine one, you should fine the lot.
What’s soccer?
Agreed. The bloke had some off days, but far more better ones. He is also clearly as mad as a box of frogs and all the more entertaining for it.
Just a pity he’s now playing well in a different team that’s getting the results.
I still reckon Birmingham are one of the more likely candidates to go down. They’ve lost some of the team spirit that they had last year, and don’t have anyone creative.
Fine sentiments Duke. I’ll be gutted if/when we eventually get relegated. But will I enjoy watching Latics any less? I very much doubt it.
David Lowe. One of a handful of true Latics legends.
