Given we are set to be seeded in the third pot then is it correct to confirm the following?

      1st matchday: 2 v 3 4 v 1 Wigan Away on 19 September
      2nd matchday: 1 v 2 3 v 4 Wigan Home on 3 October
      3rd matchday: 3 v 1 2 v 4 Wigan Home on 24 October
      4th matchday: 1 v 3 4 v 2 Wigan Away on 7 November
      5th matchday: 3 v 2 1 v 4 Wigan Home on 28 November
      6th matchday: 2 v 1 4 v 3 Wigan Away on 12 December

It makes sense, I suppose. I really don’t know – but quite possible.

There’s still a fair number of other teams to be put into the draw yet, so looking purely at the minimal number in there at present is futile.

PSV or Milan is a possibility. Celtic are likely to be in the draw too. Not to mention who come through the Europa League ties.

Which pot we are in is actually almost irrelevant, except that being pot 3 means there will be two good teams in the group. And tbh being in pot 4 means that all the other teams will be good ‘uns.

And do you think cameras aren’t selectively focussed on particular areas?

The images are very high quality.

If some people cant manage 90 mins without a beer I would say they have a problem with alcohol

The problem seems to with “no alcohol”. ;)

Agreed about the opinion thing, Phil.

But I’m entitled to my personal opinion too :)

Give it a rest lad. You’re becoming very boring.

People moan at me for posting the source documents, so that you can see and interpret for yourself, but para 7.04 explains the sequence – so it’ll be known straightaway once it’s decided who is in the group and which team number we are:

                        1st matchday: 2 v 3 4 v 1
                        2nd matchday: 1 v 2 3 v 4
                        3rd matchday: 3 v 1 2 v 4
                        4th matchday: 1 v 3 4 v 2
                        5th matchday: 3 v 2 1 v 4
                        6th matchday: 2 v 1 4 v 3

You may also find other snippets about the competition in this – the official rules and regulations for the Europa League this season.

For example 19.14 shows that the competition badge is worn only on the right sleeve. I’ve seen quite a few people who have got badges on both sleeves on their replica shirts – the left sleeve should have the “Respect” badge.

Each to their own, I suppose

I remember those films about window cleaners on posh estates, and the poor (female) householder not having any money to pay…. ;)

Come on admin get this shoite off and on to the non football area. Come on Scarborough or who ever else those parasite cuckoo lodgers are playing.

                                It’s in the non-football area

The media have a lot to answer for too.

They hype up the PL and European competition (and yes, I know that may include us), but pay no attention to anything else.

Even when there is home-grown talent, and here I am thinking of Callum McManaman, the media fuel the furore to demonise him.

Well, I’m probably off to Brocstedes this afternoon – St Helens Town are playing North West Counties league leaders (won 5/5) Maine Road. And I’ll bet there’s no rolling around like they’ve been shot.
