Actually someone else told me about this when I was waiting to get my hair cut.
I was in the barber queue.
Source?
Think he’s right, actually.
Scotland has a viable (albeit poor quality) league that has been round well over 100 years. There’s a world of difference between that and the League of Wales which was cobbled out of minor leagues within living memory.
Teams can’t choose which country’s league they would like to play in, just as you can’t pick which national team you are stuck with ;)
To be fair John Terry was the first to console Ashley Cole and Ashley Young.
He’s good at dealing with team mates’ misses.
Is that the when the price goes up monday. I am hoping its like a dfs offer and they extend it. I was going to sort it this weekThey won’t do that.
The thing about the cut-off point is that from Monday the tickets go on open sale at “Early Bird” prices instead of “renewal” prices. Anyone can buy a ticket anywhere from then, and to be honest that’s what the club wants – new blood. They have been fair in giving existing season tickets a chance to get their tickets at a reduced price, but that has to end somewhere.
From 30 July they then go on sale at full price.
Here is a quick quiz question…………Apart from our ‘Arry (Arjan de Zeeuw) how many players have gone and returned to our hallowed land?
Tony Kelly for one
Did mine weeks ago with no problem.
Maybe leaving it late right up to the “guarantee own seats” deadline until they go on open sale (at higher price) on Monday has caused the problems?
Back in 1971 I went to watch Liverpool at Oxford United. It’s the only time I have ever actually seen people standing on chairs looking over the fence like you see in comics (I’m not counting here the “Giro Stand” bridge at Central Park :) )
I present as evidence for the defence the cases of:
Simon Haworth sent off playing for Tranmere v Wigan 17 Sep 2002
Darren Sheridan sent off playing for Oldham v Wigan 14 December 2002, and
Lee Cattermole sent off playing for Sunderland v Wigan 11 Sep 2010.Some teams do seem to use the tactic ;)
Lee Cattermole got himself sent off with 2 bad challenges and don’t recall him being wound up by anyone !
He was certainly wound up by the crowd who boo’d every breath he took.
I’m shocked jr our own fans winding up the opposition players :woohoo:
Bloody Rubbish Wigan ;)
The crowd wound up/upset Ellington in the first game in the Premiership that he played against us, so much that he was subbed early on.
Although he was a legend with us, he had made a choice and became fair game. And it worked.
i hope the 135 quid for a season ticket is a piss take :ohmy:Just makes you appreciate what we have
NPL Premier (7th level on the pyramid) with promotion to the Conference North.
Were is flyde. Never heard of them beforeI had hoped it might be Clyde – that’d be a good addition to the grounds list.
Unfortunately it’s Fylde – less interesting.
These are obviously the second string “Wigan Athletic XI” fixtures.

It was billed the group of death and the machine strode through with 3 wins making that 13 wins out of 13 in this competition ! The complacency of tonight’s game will now be completely eradicated and the machine will be given a further fine tune and I fully expect it to roll on into the semis ! :cheer:
For a moment I thought the wheels had fallen off your half-track tonight.
Never in doubt ! B) Did the Yanks not nick the idea of the half track off the French ?
You’re thinking of reverse gear
