Just before he died we rubbed my grandfather’s back with lard.
But he went downhill very quickly after that.

Oh yeah, and this pedant only managed a B at English Language, as it was then.I’m so old I got a Grade 1 at “O” level in English Language – no letters in them days
Did OK in all except Chemistry that I got a Grade 7 (fail) in. I then went on and got a degree in chemistry, but still don’t have an “O” level. Not that the chemistry degree has ever been the slightest use to me (unless someone ever wants stereoisomerism explained  )

I am serving myself a really big slice as I write this. May be he is a Tics mon at heart because not much shocks me in football but Bob did today.:text-goodpost:
I didn’t want him to go until i learned he was in Birmingham
Ah, but it appears he never was in Birmingham
I actually don’t have a problem with it.
Many of DW’s statements have been about ethics, and what he believes is right and wrong. We may not always agree, but he does seem to value certain mores.
He is now able to hold up an example of (a) Villa making correct approaches, (b) himself acting reasonably and rationally in allowing discussions to take place (whether they did or not in the end is irrelevant), and finally (c) a manager who has not grabbed at a bigger purse but has acted honourably.
Nothing wrong at all in the football world being given those examples. Would you rather we ran things like Redknapp, or the Blackburn owners, or the Glazers or FIFA etc etc etc? It’s quite nice to have this on our doorstep. And nothing wrong with DW shouting it from the rooftops if he wishes.
