It all depends on the ambition of mr sharpe & where he wants this club to be in say, 5 years.

Still in existence is top priority for me

Does anyone know if it’s a pay on gate tonight?

Cheers

You’ll also be able to get a ticket from a tout outside ;)

The key words are “tricked the referee”.
The Portsmouth player clearly over-reacted, but the referee wasn’t tricked. Dunkerley swung his arm, and was correctly sent off. Even had the Pompey player stayed on his feet Chey would have walked. So I don’t think this is a good example.

… i asked another poster (rugby fan) to spout his nonsense on the rugby site and not on here.

And has he replied?

Another one of my posts deleted today by the mods but yet the mods let the /deleted by mod/ lardies post their drivel regardless.

What posts would they be?
I don’t mean posts that disagree with your view, I mean posts that SHOULD be deleted because of bad language or threats?
Was your post perhaps linked with another that was deleted, so as a standalone would appear odd?
If we delete everything that we disagree with then we would have no forum for debate.

Just wonder if a proven goal scorer like Bogle would have tucked some of those chances away.

No way, he would have been either off the pace or offside.
We will never know but missed chances have cost us dearly before.
It happens.
We hit the post three times and they bounced out.
They hit the post and it went in.
We still had chances when down to 10 men and their keeper was MotM for them.
We know we’re not going to go through the seasom 100%, but the performance was still good, and it was one of those days.
But try and tell me that at the beginning of the season if you’d been offered 10 points after 4 games you wouldn’t have snatched hands off.

My three year old Granddaughter is making her debut at the Latics today, she will be sporting her Dads 30 year old first Latics shirt.

Its been washed this morning and is proudly hanging on the line for its first showing for nearly 30 years after being in a suitcase under the stairs.

Its a bit tatty, but Emeli is looking forward to wearing it this afternoon.

Come on WIGAN!!!

Brilliant stuff.
My 6-y-o grandson now has his fourth season ticket, and loves matchday.
Get them young.

Mind you in the three previous seasons he has seen relegation-promotion-relegation. While hoping for the sequence to continue we have tried to explain to him that occasionally there will be seasons when nothing happens :)

Why is it U23s all of a sudden. Can you imagine the class of 92 Beckham the Nevilles, Giggs, Scholes etc playing in the checkatrade. Surely the real good players are established first teamers long before the age of 23.

They played against us in the Lancashire Cup in front of 1,500 at Springy

When a competition has got to the stage where a 3rd and 4th division side picks a team full of reserves and youths to face a top club, then you know that it’s time to call it a day.

The FLC was always a shit idea created to give lower league sides a big day out. It has become even shitter with the introduction of a few U23’s sides.

Sorry, mutt, but it’s the FLT (FL Trophy, alias Autowindscreens) that has the U-23s, not the FLC (old League Cup)

Rumours have a habit of resurfacing as someone tells someone else who tells someone else, and a couple of weeks later the same rumour comes back to the start.
Personally I don’t see anyone going anywhere.

I too had no intention of going to Oldham.
And then I started thinking “well, if it’s sold out I won’t be able to go and that will make the decision for me” And they tell us tickets are on sale on the day. :)
So I’m now plotting a car route, and where to park – should I decide to go.
Which I think we all the know the answer to. :)

were the performances as good as the results?

Simple answer – yes.

Seven games unbeaten; with two competitive wins !

Gotcha Donny

And still in with a chance of 5 Wembley visits this season.
We could also draw Spurs in one or two cups :)
