The goal on HT is a killer. Completely changes the team talk at the break and the ideas that Cookie will have had. Then, as we did at Preston, we concede within 10 minutes and go 2 goals behind.

We probably reduce the capacity anyway based on the fact that people will sit anywhere, but I would expect we also reduce it even further on police advice.

Magic Weekend is a great concept but it should be played in a 35-40K stadium that will look full. This year at Newcastle there were more empty seats on the second day than there were taken seats. It looks pathetic. We can’t even sell our two major finals out at the moment. 64K for Wigan v Warrington? Pathetic.
As for expanding the sport, it will never work so we should stick to the places that have the fan base and try to resurrect the once great clubs that were the cornerstone of these areas.

I think we all slate when its due, but despite our poor away form we are in a very very good position which at the start of the season I think we would all have taken had we been offered it at this stage.

There was really poor performances right across the board.
I personally think team selection was the main reason we lost. Resting players 14 games in beggars belief. God help us over ChristmasNo. I based it on the fact that everyone on here screams for him to play but every time he does he’s shite.

- Powell and Roberts can’t play two full games in a week, plus Byrne has been out injured for most of the season and lacks match fitness. That’s why there were changes.
- We only have 3 fit central midfielders at present: Morsy, Evans and Connolly
- Vaughan was brought in because Windass had to play out wide as Roberts and Byrne aren’t fit to start, Jacobs and Massey are out injured, and McManaman doesn’t look up to it.
- Also bear in mind, Vaughan has been out injured, as has Garner, so neither are fully match fit.
- We are in 10th place.
- We are 1 point off the play-places, and 6 points off 1st place.
- Survival was seen as the priority this season and we already have nearly half the average points that are usually required to avoid relegation.
- We re still minnows in a pond full of big fish!
I don’t come on here very often these days but it’s reassuring to see the meltdowns have never left!

As for McManaman, we brought him on and I honestly forgot we had until he gave a free kick away. Definitely the new version of Ryan Colclough.
