It already has been accepted.
Pubs in Wigan will be full watching Wigan, yet nobody will be cheering for Wigan.
He had dreams of 25K every week in the Prem but it was always going to be tough to achieve and so it proved.
The pitch problems didn’t help either as he couldn’t have as many other events like rugby Internationals (5 sell outs off the top of my head) and England U21 games.
Our first season saw us get regular crowds of over 22,000. The second season Whelan got greedy and lumped another tenner on the price of tickets, the fans revolted, crowds slumped and Whelan had to re-think.But for some the damage was done.[/quote]
True yes. The first season was always going to get big crowds but they were never really Latics “fans” and were always going to fade away.

That’s if they can even match what we are paying him anyway.
A lot of our FA cup home games have poor crowds, Wigan public don’t seem to back their teamI always prefer away games it does away with this .
Yep
It’s a personal choice if you go or not and some fans have other commitments. Many other reasons for not going but I guess many who weren’t there will not be there in the future for league games if we continue the decline.
Personally I have other commitments at other times of year but like the ones who were there yesterday wouldn’t miss going if Latics had a match.6000 seemingly chose not to go though.
I liked the way Warnock overlapped with Yanic today on the left. The first goal was a sublime bit of football.Quite a few sublime moments we just couldn’t finish.
Yep. Enjoyed that.
Obviously I won’t enjoy it as much as you Prestonians ;)
I thought the balance of the whole team was right today.Totally agree
Lower league at home please. Why? 5000 of their fans and none of ours?
Either a top 6 PL club at home or the lowest ranked team away.
Not too fussed about losing Davies and ALF to be honest, but from what i can gather there is a shock or two on the cards.Go on…..spill.
Not seen much of Byrne have we and apparently he is one name. Won’t miss ALF or Davies as we haven’t seen anything of them either. Seen nothing of Morsy this season so that’s 4 who have played very little part in this season. Who will the other 2 be?
How does Joycey form an opinion on Morsy when it was Caldwell who packed him off. Barnsley must see him as part of their play off push but somehow he isn’t rated good enough for our relegation battle. If the buy clause was in the loan agreement then there isn’t much Joyce can do.
How about communication.
It has been rumoured amongst fans that Ravel has/has not been training with us. We are/are not interested in giving him a deal.
Simple.Here you are Donny
Hope so Bickymon.
I wouldn’t be too quick to ship players out, but we may need too in order to bring in so that the books are finely balanced.
