Doubt there’ll even be a case. All be forgot about as if it didn’t happen.
And Jon Routledge in 2009
Sorry to bring it up, but during your 8 years, not a single youth team player made it through to the first team.Aside from the man of the match in the cup final
We needs wins against Fulham, Brighton and Millwall.
That puts us 4 above Rotherham and 1 above Fulham.
I can see Rotherham getting a maximum of 7 meaning we may need one more win. Easter Monday games always throw up strange results.
Fortune was good at doing the donkey work again today. Needs a goalscorer alongside him.
Both sides 2-0 down. Fulham a man down.
As you were.
Apart from you have one less game to overhaul one of them.
Thank you Captain Obvious.
We still need to beat Fulham and win one other game however so………..as you were.

I post after rare wins also! The thing is, even the more positive/realistic ( That’s what they like to be called these days!) fans don’t even post after a win! We could be relegated several times and end up in the Evo Stik League and there would still be some saying that it’s been a great journey and at the end of the day this is where we belong! This club had a fantastic chance to establish itself as a Championship club that maybe would get a stint in the Prem now and again, a club too good for League One football but for some reason that opportunity was not taken and austerity measures were deemed a more viable option. I wasn’t asking the club to sink loads of money into trying to be something that we would never be but I am pretty sure we could have achieved the aforementioned status without getting into financial difficulties! This debacle is not normal, I don’t care what some may try and say, the whole fiasco is a fuckin joke!So explain how we would do that then?
We spent big in the summer and it backfired. Had those signings done well then we could quite easily have been in the playoff hunt or an established side. It didn’t work so we had to re-coup the money somehow otherwise we would make a loss at the end of the season and would be in a worse position next season when we try to balance the books again.
The fact that our 8 year stay in the PL didn’t cripple us is an amazing feat considering our entire TV money was spent on wages and our crowds are piss poor. Take away the TV money and lower the crowds and you’re left with what we’ve got. It’s sad but it’s true. We can’t spend what we don’t have unless we’re willing to risk our future.
A draw would have been a fair result I think.
I’ve ran those stats and yes it does get busy after a loss. Wiganers for you eh (even if several of those that post after a loss aren’t Wiganers)
And how many points start will you get because of your crowd size?
Cockney Latic favourite trait :- If we can compare and relate Latics to the early 90’s then the current predicament becomes acceptable.I think it’s more to do with people saying this is the worst Wigan side ever when it quite clearly isn’t.
There are rarely choruses if boos
We get booed off most weeks. That is if anyone has bothered to stay until the end.
I generally try to stick to topic Egg.
Correct me if im wrong but i suspect that every time there was a bad or stray pass, a chance of a goal spurned etc etc, there was a chorus of boos coming from the stands. & they wonder why we cant win at home.
People just guessing trying to apportion blame where there is none
There are boos most weeks, and last night there were a few boos/moans when Boycie failed to get forward quick enough for the tactical geniuses in the East Stand.
Turns out he was spot on then wasn’t he.

Harry Maguire had a shocker last night! Fortune brings absolutely nothing to the side, he is easily hassled off the ball and spends half his time on the floor! Last night he had a great chance to put his foot behind the ball and get in a shot on goal but chose to shield it and try to turn 2 defenders, the feeble attempt that he eventually attempted was blocked as most his efforts are, utter garbage! The manager knows best though so no point in opining! He’s been superb in the other 5 or 6 games he has played for us though.
Well Fortune had our only shot on target last night so he clearly brought something to the team that nobody else managed to do.
I like his effort and his work rate but he isn’t going to get us goals and as I’ve said, he can’t play with Clarke as they are too similar. One of them needs to start with Mckay or the lad from Liverpool alongside.
