Yes. You and Stu had reverted to bickering as opposed to discussing the game :good:

        Great win Saturday

Let’s get back to discussing the game.

A win tomorrow could see us out the bottom 4. I’ll be honest I thought we were in there for the foreseeable so massive credit to the lads if they get out of it even if it is short lived.

Their commitment hasn’t really been in question but with a few senior bodies back we’re starting to look more threatening going forward.

Have to agree with Stu. He sounds like a right idiot.

His story may or may not be true, but it’s the sort of thing you keep off twitter unless you’re after clicks and likes. The less said about his covid sheet the better.

As I’ve said, as the owner of a football club he shouldn’t be posting pictures with alcohol in view of the pitch. Of course it won’t be him that gets the fine it will be the club. Wonder if all our fans will love him should that happen.

At the time I didn’t bullitt. Andy Holt is the chairman of a football club so he should k ow the rules.

Everything on twitter is true isn’t it. :mail:

The Accrington chairman apparently took a picture of an open bottle of wine in view of the pitch. I did that once with a pint (in a private box) and the staff went mad and threatened to throw me out if I did it again.

Holt should have known better and I would imagine if I did it at their ground he would have a different view on it when it’s his club in the firing line.

His scribblings on the covid sheet are what I would expect from a teenager.

The admins could possibly have handled it better if what he says is true, but I would say he is as much in the wrong and looking at his twitter looked like he was after a response.

Won’t be the staff member paying the fine i’d imagine and they should know better.

Not the admins biggest fan, but can see why they would hit the roof.

In their defence, someone said he posted a picture of it in view of the pitch which is of course, illegal.

So pointing out why we can’t protect the pitch by not having academy games there as per the rules is points scoring now is it?

That’ll be twice this week then that Latics have taken points off Sunderland ;-)

I’ve said it a few times that Lenegan will be a good owner of the club, but he won’t actually have anything to do with the club.

He MAY own the stadium but wouldn’t be able to screw Latics over due to the EFL rules and the council lease so I’m not sure what the problem is.

I’ll use the same analogy I use when Saints fans call the rugby rent boys. If the roof blows off tomorrow it won’t cost the rugby a penny.

As a football club that as this has shown isn’t blessed with money that may not be a bad thing.

You were set to play your last 3 games there according to your website. COVID obviously put a stop to that and may have for this season with protocols etc.

Pretty sure we can’t move EFL Trophy games too (or any EFL game)

You’ll have to ask the efl. I can only go off the 2020/21 charter which says games will be played at the first team venue.

                            Page 18.

Funny you should say that about Sunderland though as pages 24 and 28 seem to show Sunderland players playing at the stadium of light. Perhaps they were photoshopped?

As well as the one at Goodison.

We don’t have a reserve team.

As the document on this page states, at our academy level some games must be played at the first teams stadium

Some fans are screaming out for Royle and Ranson despite slagging off Royle for 2 years.

It can literally only be so that Lenegan (who has never done anything but speak highly of Wigan Athletic) isn’t invovled in any way.

Pretty sad really that some fans would put the future of the club at risk just to get one over on the rugby.

I assume you are talking about the Rugby ,yes things will remain the same as the EFL games will take priority, right ?

Actually phonix…i’m not sure if the EFL has the preference rule that the PL has and I think Bristol City have moved games to a Sunday to accomodate Bristol Bears before.

The one rule though is that we have to play our games at our registered first team ground.
