We had 12 more shots than Ipswich on Monday night according to the stats on BBC yet we put 3 less on target than they did.
It doesn’t matter whether we play 4-4-2, 3-5-2, 4-5-1 or 0-0-10. If you can’t put a shot on target then you won’t f*cking score.
A mate text me after about 70 minutes to say that our stats were shots 10 on target 0. That wouldn’t change with another man up top.

There were a few hundred Latics fans there but I went to same fixture in the following season. There were a lot more Latics fans there and I was asked by a couple of German tourists who were in the away end if it was a local derby!I remember playing them at home that season and the ref was conned into booking the wrong player.
Fulham had a right back and left back that looked rather similar.
Anyway, the left back had been booked and hacked down a Wigan player. All the other Wigan players rushed in and during this the left back and right back switched wings and the wrong player was booked.
Hoping it lashes down today as I can’t see us batting this out.

Great player but his fitness does appear to be below par somewhat!Which is why he still plays for Wigan Athletic IMO
Overheard a fan last Saturday telling his mate that his sleeve badges were an extra £5 and I thought to myself they should be free as they are advertising! Don’t get them myself, and what is with the strip badge across the top of the shirt on the back? Is that extra money as well? More money than sense some people! :dry: Gonna end up looking like one of the Warriors shirts, full of advertising and tacky as fcuk!The strip at the top won’t be extra as they were a last minute sponsor. Some people may have got lucky and bought the shirt before they had any in the club shop to put on.
I hate shirts that are full of sponsors. It’s good for the club of course but just makes fans look like a walking advertising board.
Buying experience players and paying top dollar wages doesn’t work for Wigan, Holt comes to mind. I’m just glad to see us going back to what we’ve done best in the past that’s, signing young ambitious players, who want to improve and play at the highest level. But, while their at Wigan they leave us with priceless memories.Hats off to DW, it seems that the McArthur money has gone straight back into signing players and their wages.
TBH practically the cash from every player we have sold has gone back into the club somehow which is we have no debts and make a small profit. The fact we are now seemingly able to put money back into the playing side of things shows just how good a job DW has done and continues to do with this club.
Good competition for places now I think.
