Rhodes signed a new 5 year deal at Blackburn.
Scratch him off the wishlist
To win player of the year that’s the best time to come good. During that last 5 months the whole team played well so he must have stood out quite noticeably.True as that is what’s remembered when voting comes around I guess.
No one is claiming he is some world beater but to say Bramble was head and shoulders above him as a defender is stretching things a bit, if you pardon the pun. Not sure you would want Bramble in charge of marshalling a defence.I’d put them in the same bracket TBH. Titus was solid as a rock for us until he had to think about things and tried to play football as opposed to just defending. See Caldwell v Swansea as a direct comparison.
Think I’ll go to this now TBH.
Just hope they don’t ruin the pitch for the big rugby game on the Friday ;)
Except in the 2011-12 season when the things he did right was remembered well enough for him to be voted Player of the Year.Never the player of the year that year no matter how good he was in the run in. Player of the last 5 months maybe.
Bloody rubbish Wigan!!!!!!!!!!!!
Germany v Argentina.
Like Sophie’s choice who I want to win that one.

:cheer:
Bloody cock up! Should have been at home in the first place.Yes, but the tubbies have been rolling around on that all summer too so that is in a terrible state also*
*the pitch actually looks in excellent condition after being re-seeded.
Bloody eggchasers
If there had been one more it would have been the crowd of the year. As it standS it’s soooooooo last year!:P
Fulham have completed the signing of Scotland striker Ross McCormack from fellow Championship club Leeds for an undisclosed fee believed to be around £11m.
The 27-year-old, who has signed a four-year contract at Craven Cottage, was the top scorer in the Championship last season with 29 goals.I am looking forward to Roslers first full season and relishing all the big games against Bolton,Leeds,Blackburn,Blackpool etc .
Not missing the Premier league at all and yes it fills the coffers but we are back in a league that has some soul and I am looking forward to games against the above far more than I ever would against teams like Swansea,Hull, Sunderland and Stoke.
a pity some people haven’t renewed but I doubt we would have seen a mad rush had we been promoted back to the prem .First big test of our fan base this IMO.
Last season we were riding the coat tails of our cup win and had Europe to look forward to which probably brought a few more through the turnstiles.
Totally agree.
In addition last season there was the expectation, rightly or wrongly, that we would go straight back up.
Now the reality has set in that we’re still in the Championship for 1 more season!
I’m not missing the Prem either really. Rather go to a game with no idea of the outcome as opposed to knowing we would lose and usually heavily.

Even the most blinkered of Rugby fan would have to admit that without him they would not have been in existence. Oh alright they are to twisted to admit that.
He sort of burned his bridges with that one when he moved a playoff game.
My “Welcome to the home of Wigan Athletic” comments when getting a coach from The DW didn’t go down too well :P
