Win by 3 or more and we go 7th.

2, me thinks (goals scored) :cheer:
Correct. Hadn’t expected us to have scored more than Brighton TBH.

In fact anybody thinking of not going will need to send a detailed explanation or a note from their mum to our away support statistician , Mutty.

Best I get my mailbox expanded then. ;)
Mutley, have you ever thought of changing your user name to Thrush!
I get it!
Yeah but you’re dead clever ! Just saying !
So as I’m thick as s*it does that mean I won’t get thrush?

egg, you serious with that 1500 figure. Reckon closer to 4k myself (maybe more)

I hope I’m wrong, but us Wiganers have never been known for paying when we can watch it on the TV or shelling out money to watch us get beat.

Well let’s hope they keep them prices for us. Reckon we will take a large following ourselves?

Of course we won’t. This City board comment explains:

“I hope the game is the Saturday. Hope it is a full house although highly unlikely as Wigan will bring about 300.”

If I remember rightly Everton were uberconfident last season at this stage too.
We’ll take about 1500 I would think and get hammered.

I don’t know anything about the lads background but I do know that there was a big debate about Roger Milla’s true age as well with it being claimed he was even older than was thought.
The problem is (& I don’t know if it applies to this lad/fella) is that if you’re are born out in the sticks in some isolated village it’s unlikely that one of the first things you are going to do is travel a huge distance to register your kids birth. In many countries they will send out officials to register births & it can be several years between visits to your village so all the kids who’ve been born in that period get registered with the same date of birth. I read that Milla could have been as much as 7 or 8 years older than was claimed.
Could be the same with this mon coz he certainly looks older than 17
or he could have just forged a birth certificate
                        or he could be 17

Former rugby player Stanley Gene is apparently 39.

In comparison to your volleyed return of the ball, i once punched the ball back on to the pitch from seat M224 in the west stand – no idea why, & it really f00kin hurt!!

Any chance of giving Ali some lessons?
Ali needs catching lessons. As does Scott Carson. Maybe Lee Nicholls could teach them?

Personally I would say that the evidence is the sight of players clearly blowing out their a*se late on in games.

To be useful to travelling fans, a decision to postpone the match would have to be well in advance of kick off – early in the morning or better still the day before. Judging by last night’s decisions at Manchester City and Everton, that isn’t likely.

The Met Office issued a rare red warning of high winds in the North West from 1:30pm to 9:00pm posing a risk to life and threatening structural damage. It advised people not to make unnecessary journeys.

Both clubs – and the police, presumably – thought it was safe for fans to travel in these conditions. It was only around 7:00pm when things began flying around near the stadiums that the games were called off.

By then the home and away fans would have been arriving at the grounds. Announcements that the decisions were made for the safety of the fans ring rather hollow.

Charlton’s midweek trip to Newcastle is one of my favourites for that as was our trip to Gillingham in 2003, however that one was a tad more painful as I actually made the trip.

The Charlton match was called off just before kick-off IIRC
