Didn’t watch the game but sounds like a shame as he was man of the match until then according to the BBC.
Well as an ex player who was superb for us and then gave money to the crowdfunder and persuaded many others (some not even connected to wigan) to do the same…..I do.
Seen that under plenty managers. Warren Joyce used to play 0 upfront and Malky Mackay played James McClean there.
Bit harsh on a guy who in his 3 seasons here won us the league and then kept us in the championship not once but twice.

TBH we have no idea if IL ever made a bid or was ever going to.
instead of both clubs coming together and cementing the future of both which was do-able all they wanted was the stadium.
The rugby club cannot afford the stadium without Latics (and vice versa) so they would have had to have found some way to retain the football club. IL obviously wanted to protect his interests as all business owners would do, but it would cost him quite a bit of money if the football club went pop.

A post over on RLFANS said it would have been fun to buy Latics just to liquidate them. Did you vilify him/her for that post or everyone else who has said they hope the club goes bust?
I might have to start posting on there again to re-educate the people who seem to think WRL put £12m into the building of the stadium.
