He managed to successfully tackle his man the other day and celebrated with friends
HereHis style is a bit like marmite. You love it or you hate it.
The Everton fans need to be patient and let the players to get to grips with it. If they can do so quicker and more effectively than us then they can become a very good side. We showed at the back end of the 2012 season and in the cup how good it can be and I still firmly believe that had we not suffered the injuries we did last season that we would be playing Premier League football right now.
I want some big names I may never get the chance to see my little football club play again. No random places in Russia or Lithuania thanks.
I definitely want Valencia or Lyon, I just hope the away tie is in the second half of the draw as I can’t take holidays until the end of October so hopefully we play two home games and an away trip to the least appetising team in the first three games.
I think there’s a plane just gone over your headWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH……………………..
Not really as the two are totally different. I understand you may be referring to the Bournemouth thread from last week in which case it’s still not a supporters club plane.
Let me categorically state, there is no way I am heading to Anzhi Makkalaka or Kazakhstan on a supporters club plane with no ale!It wouldn’t be a supporters club plane. It would be a CLUB plane.
Given we are set to be seeded in the third pot then is it correct to confirm the following?1st matchday: 2 v 3 4 v 1 Wigan Away on 19 September
2nd matchday: 1 v 2 3 v 4 Wigan Home on 3 October
3rd matchday: 3 v 1 2 v 4 Wigan Home on 24 October
4th matchday: 1 v 3 4 v 2 Wigan Away on 7 November
5th matchday: 3 v 2 1 v 4 Wigan Home on 28 November
6th matchday: 2 v 1 4 v 3 Wigan Away on 12 DecemberThe 4 teams are picked from the 4 pots and then a random computer draw decides their position. We may come from pot 3 but we may be position 1 in the group. (similar to the World Cup draw where you’re assigned a group and then a position H4 for example)
The 4 clubs then meet to discuss travel/safety arrangements etc etc
apologies to Griff if this is dull but has anyone heard any mention from the club about the likelyhood of them doing any Europa away packages for us fans or is it every man (woman and child) for themselves sorting out our own transport, hotels etc as soon as the draw has been made.I know other clubs do various travel packages for their fans but obviously this is virgin territory for club and fans alike for us lot.
Being looked into and will hopefully be released Friday afternoon once our opponents and dates are known. Some clubs won’t take fans unless they travel via the club.
Its literally impossible for us to be in pot 4.It more than likely is yes, but I will still take the word of the club on Sunday when asked above Wikipedia.
In that case, 12.45 CET should be 12.45 BSTCorrect
I wonder if it was ever suggested that the two trophies won at Wembley by the town’s football and rugby clubs back in 1985 should be paraded at each ground?I think we both know the answer to that :cheer:
We are currently in pot 3 but could drop into pot 4 depending on who drops out of the CL. (according to the club)
From pot 3 we could face Valencia AND Bordeaux.
Lyon are 2 away goals down tonight, PSV play Milan and Celtic are 2 goals down so there’s three other big sides we can possibly drawn as they’ll be ranked higher than us.
We are guaranteed to be in pot 3 at worse. There are enough teams guaranteed to be below us that no matter the result we can’t end up in pot 4.

How much did you win on your Peterborough 6 Reading 0 bet then?
Everybody knows my views on the klumps so I have no need to vent my spleen further other than to say I turned my back on the pitch when they came out, I didn’t applaud, and only turned back to face the pitch when I was informed they had left the pitch.I am not arsed whether people think it was petty as I don’t care a shoite about WRL or their fans or indeed our own fans who like or watch them as well.
It was just my way of showing my views without making an arse of my self. It wasn’t high profile granted and perhaps no-one else noticed, but I did it and I personally made my point quietly.Their all conquering achievements over the years are commendable and fair play to them but this cannot be compared to Latics achievements in the FA Cup.
The stature of the FA Cup is somewhat greater than the RL Challenge Cup, and winning the RL Cup is a kin to Man Utd winning the FA Challenge Trophy. One last thing, and this is not having a go at anyone as I generally don’t know, but did the Latics parade the FA Cup around the DW Stadium at half time at their game after our FA Cup victory.
If so was the reception as good for the Latics as it was for them? They didn’t parade the cup no as Mutty said there wasn’t much point. If Owen Coyle allows there to be a representative there on Friday then I imagine they will do so then because the ambition from Whelan was to hold both and not just the one. (he may just bring it out himself alongside Ian Lenagan) Scott Carson is a Wigan fan and Owen Coyle has mentioned his desire to watch a few RL games so they may appear.
You’re quite right in that you can’t compare the two in terms of Worldwide prestige and I don’t think anyone ever would, but the Challenge Cup is the major knockout cup competition in the sport and so is nothing like Man Utd winning the FA Challenge Trophy. That would be akin to Wigan winning the National Conference Cup.

Its not a `banal` topic, its a topic that is trotted out by the national media on a regular basis.Wigan Athletic get a shit deal from the national media reguarding crowds, and the clueless wankers who write that shit need exposing.
Rugby League is a minority sport in Wigan these days, whether you like it or not.
I wouldn’t go as far as minority sport but you’re quite correct there were more people at the WAFC homecoming than the WRLFC one. How many of the alledged 30,000 were WAFC fans is debateable considering that that is almost twice our average but thats another question for another day. Maybe some of the Mancs and Scousers in the town who never watch their side jumped on the bandwagon for a day or two but I don’t really care.
The town of Wigan might be a rugby town, then again it might be a football town. It could quite easily even be a fishing or darts town. One thing it definitely is though is the home of the 2013 FA Cup and Challenge Cup winners.
