The good thing about them playing each other is that at least one of them will drop points. Yes they might go a point above us or a win above us but they won’t be pulling away.
Great news …knowing our return from injury timetable he should be available for bench warming duties at West brom .Next season
I wasn’t at the game yesterday as i was working  so have watched the game this morning on MOTD.WTF was going on between mac arthur & boyce.
Di santo storming down the tunnel when being subbed & having to be dragged back literally by martinez to come back to the bench.
It was mentioned on MOTD the difference in attitude between the togetherness of QPR in comparison to the in house fighting at our club, which got me thinking & i pose the question;
Are those said players no longer interested in playing for wigan, & are just seeing out the remaining 10 games before fooking off,
was it just simply a bad day at the office & one of those days,
Or, was it simply a case of nerves playing at home again.
Like i said i wasn’t at the game so obviously have no idea how supportive the crowd was towards them.
FFS. This is the same set of players who hammered Reading last week and couldn’t have looked more of a unit.
Di Santo never likes coming off, and we played sh*te. It was a bad day at the office. Lets move on and concentrate on making it to Wembley.
…please drop Al Habsi, Caldwell, McCarthy and Beausejour.Bring in Robles, Alcaraz, Espinoza and McManaman, there’s a good manager.
PS; Please play Maloney in the hole behind Kone and push our quickest player Di Santo out wide in the role Maloney was wasted in tonight. :(
There you go, who needs Jonsey and his ipad! :P
Well I’m sure he’ll take that on board. He probably gets all his tactics off here
I think after results going our way and the way we played last week the players went out with a confidence that was then knocked out of them within 90 seconds. That goal threw us totally and we started giving the ball away and making mistakes. All the pressure was off and we immediately put it back onto ourselves.
The saving grace, or positive as Bob would put it, is that with Villa expected to lose to City tomorrow night we haven’t lost anything and our destiny is still in our own hands.
We need to start picking those surprise points up though. Beating the teams around us is good but it’s no good if we don’t get any points from anywhere else while they do. I’m still 60/40 that we’ll survive.
8. Getting rid of Dave Jones shows what type of footballer Bobby likes, he would rather relegate Wigan than compromise his footballing principlesHave I missed something?
Take them with you ;)
I fully understand your reasons for not going
Thanks for the reply. You’re saying I can’t get Liverpool tickets before today’s game? :( Got a couple of last minute juniors wanting to go and I’ve never had to buy tickets before the game. They do this for all the local games AFAIK
Ticket £30
Travel £10
Food & Drink £25Being there to watch Wigan Athletic walk out in the FA Cup Quarter Final for only the second time in our 80 year history PRICELESS.
Yes you can save your money for Wembley but what if this is the end of the road and we never make it here again? I understand people have other priorities and tbh I probably can’t afford it, but there isn’t a chance in hell I’m missing it.
I live in the real world, mate. I also have two kids to clothe and feed.
Besides, I was there at our FIRST FA Cup quarter final V Leeds in ’87.
All these people desperate to give good money to Everton FC…..must be on good wages some of you…..[/quote]
As I’ve said, I understand that people have other priorities and that is fair enough of course. My personal choice is that I’ll be there. The last time we got this far I was 8 month old.
BTW, the money from cup games is split between both clubs and the FA.
In matches played in the Third, Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Rounds of the Competition
Proper, the net gate receipts of each match shall be divided as follows:
45% to each Club competing in the match.
10% to the Pool.So actually, I’m giving my money to WAFC. Another reason to go ;)
You can’t buy tickets for today but I expect it will be normal match day hours which I think is 12-kick off for collections and Everton
If the Reading result has gone our way then the atmosphere should be nice and relaxed and the lads can play with no pressure and let their football do the talking.
I’m confident. 2 1 Wigan.
