When put in to perspective, it is going to cost us the tax payer a couple of hundred grand to find out whether a thug of a player said something or not.
His reputation is cack anyway, so it isn’t as if we would be shocked if he is found guilty, nor will it effect the afore mentioned lack of a decent reputation.
So we foot the bill for a fooyballer to get a fine of less than an hours pay – great.
Not even going to follow what happens. He’s one of your favourite players though isn’t he?
Me neither. I think the way we played at the end of the season will really suit his style.
As long as he isn’t the new Won Hee Cho.
Let’s hope our performances stay similar to those at the end of the season then. Can’t see many of these new admirers of ours sticking around after performances like some we had to endure at the start of the season.
I’m hoping there’s history made at Wimbledon tomorrow.
Good luck in winning your record equalling 7th title Roger.
RIP
It’s still a whole 6 weeks to the start of the new season, but my season ticket arrived this morning – for the correct seat even!We know what the new kit’s going to be, and have even seen the team wearing it, and it’s available in the shops.
Just what is going on??? :P
We know the home AND away kits.
Italy will pinch it imo. They’re more than capable of sitting back and shutting Spain out and can break pretty well.
Can’t see it being an entertaining final.
Would he not find the weather a bit too chilli
Rangers and Celtic in the English league, are some of you for real? Have you forgotton what it has taken for Wigan Athletic to be a Premier League club? Have you forgotten the 40 times we went cap in hand to the league meetings to try and win enough votes to get in the league? The struggles of old just trying to remain a league club before Mr Whelan rocked up?.The fact that in recent years AFC Wimbledon,Aldershot and Newport County have had to start at the bottom of the pyramid systemn to get back to a reasonable level again.?If they wish to become part of our League then they can bloody well do exactly the same as the rest of us have had to and start at the bottom.Correct
The bit I can’t understand is the revelling in their demise from rival fans and clubs which, in whichever way you look at it, will negatively affect the whole of the SPL financially and in terms of the quality of player in the league.Exactly this
I’m surprised how many clubs are voting no. Only Rangers and Celtic take any fans away from home in the SPL. Most other games are played infront of crowds smaller than league 2.
Hearts, Dundee Utd and possibly Motherwell I can understand as they’ll have an extra CL place to fight for, but why the likes of Inverness, St Mirren, St Johnstone and Ross County would vote no is baffling.
The SPL is pointless if they kick Rangers out. Give Celtic the trophy on the opening day and play for 2nd place. Celtic could travel the World playing in friendlies like the Harlem Globe Trotters.
Rangers have cheated, gone into administration and eventually liquidation so on which planet should they keep their place in the SPL? The L standing for LEAGUE.How would you feel if say Chelsea or another of the big clubs did it in our league? Rangers arrogantly thought they were bigger than the SPL and broke many rules so are you saying that they should be let off Egg? The other clubs are voting no because it is the right way to punish Rangers for what they have done.If Sky pull out because of it then it shows how much the sport has prostituted itself to TV for the big bucks.Football has been around much longer than Tele and any decisions should be taken for football reasons and the good of the sport not because Sky throw a wobbly. It would be like Man Utd having a terrible season and getting relegated only for Sky to then say well if they go down we will pull the plug if you dont let them stay up.It is wrong what Rangers have done and for the good of the game the rules must be adhered to.You cannot make exeptions for any club however big they are.[/quote]
Our league is totally different though because there are a large number of clubs with big fan bases that would fill away ends across the Country. If Chelsea were kicked out then the promotion of someone like Leeds or Notts Forest wouldn’t kill a team financially as chances are those two would fill their away allocation. None of the teams in the SPL do except for Rangers and Celtic. Most clubs have less fans than us FFS. From a business POV it doesn’t make sense (unless of course there are things behind the scenes that we don’t know)
Glad we got Hodgson instead of Redknapp. He isn’t that good a Manager and has far too much off the field baggage. Unfortunately now he’s not in management I expect to see him every Sunday at the side of Jamie on Super Sunday. Wonderful.
