So let’s say we win and the 12 points deduction is cancelled. Do you think it’s over?. Well what will happen is, Barnsley will appeal that is for certain. This has been estimated to take up to 12 weeks in total. Barnsleys appeal timescale and shorter summer break will mean fixtures will not be released. This means Barnsley are challenging the independent panels decision to scrap our 12 point deduction. Were does that leave us ?, and what happens if they win and they are told they should not be relegated ?. Who fills that 3rd from bottom slot ?. Forget Sheff Weds and Derby, they are making sure if they are hit with a points deduction they’ll get them deducted next season.
And Charlton are due for an announcement soon. It seems they’ve been naughty boys as well. Wow ! This is one fcukin big legal mess that will take months and months if not years to sort out.
The easiest way for the EFL, start next season on time and don’t face any legal action from barnsley is
Fcuk us off and send us down which is precisely what will happenAbsolutely agree
I honestly think this QC will win our case, one way or the other.
He represented Leeds fighting against their 15 point deduction – and lost
Different cases of course, but I’m really not confident.
The options I believe are 12 points, reduced points or no points.
Personally I don’t think we will win as the shit storm that will follow will be huge.
Going to be very difficult not to laugh my tits off if we get the points back. The vitriol from Barnsley fans has been staggering. As has their complete lack of understanding of the situation TBH
What makes you think he would do that? He has done the exact opposite at Wigan RL.
Yes the prices are different, but that all depends on who is in his consortium. It could be a consortium led by IFL but with the cash coming from a billionaire.
We won’t win the appeal we just have to hope Wednesday lose enough points this season and not next. Soft free kicks, so close tonight Important thing is we get bought and have a club
We need both Wednesday and Derby to lose points now.
Slipped? It was a blatent dive
The efl definitely appointed the best man for the job tonight
When you leave admin you need to pay your creditors 25p in the pound in one lump sum or 35p in the pound over 3 years. If you don’t you get a 2 year ban and a 15 point deduction.
If we don’t come out of administration in the correct manner then we get a 2 year ban, If we do then we’re fine.
It’s literally in this thread Vat. You claimed for months that a mate of yours at Barclays had told you we owed them money.
Moore will be the first of many to leave this summer, and until the ownership issue resolved and financial black hole plugged, I doubt you’ll see any arrivals, save the odd out-of-contract trialist on a pay as you play deal.
It gives me no pleasure to say it, but expect to be in a similar position that Bolton found themselves in for the first 2 months of the season after being rescued – playing kids, manager resigns, coaches let go, getting whipped each week.Again – all depends on how long it takes for a buyer.
That all depends on how long it takes to get a buyer. Once Wednesday is out the way the bidders can start the process of buying the club.
