13,000 and top of the league. It’s only a matter of time before the poor excuse for a sport folds up. :shock:They couldn’t. There were however not thousands. A guy who sits near me leaves every week with 5 minutes to go to avoid traffic regardless of the score. Personally I can’t understand it, but each to their own.

I dont care a jot who thinks my club is a bit of a joke coz i very much doubt that too many have witnessed the success at their own clubs that this fantastic club has given us. Stuff the big clubs with big attendances give me Wigan Athletic FC anyday.*stands and applauds*
Always said it – wins against Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal etc mean so much more imo when you’ve sat (or in many cases stood) through the dross of Canvey Island and experienced numerous playoff heartaches. It’s easy to sit in the pub and cheer on Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea etc but watching a club like ours take on the big boys week in week out gives you a feeling of pride that I don’t believe you can get from watching a team you have no affiliation with whatsoever lift a trophy you’ve never seen in a stadium to which you’ve never been.
Didn’t Sheff Wed get regularly spanked in the Championship last year? Haven’t Palace conceded 9 in a league game before? (Ah yes – so they have “Record League defeat: 0-9 v Liverpool (a), 12 September 1990, Division One”)
