I’m literally listening to it now.
One interesting thing I keep hearing is the punishment for not finishing the season. Points deductions, removal from the football league. Wasn’t the precedent set with a club up the road that you get a slap on the wrist?
If the decision is between IFL and balancing tne books, or someone with loads of money that isn’t from Wigan then after this last fiasco I’ll take IFL all day long

I’d be slightly concerned about his thoughts on FFP seeing as he didn’t give a stuff about the salary cap. Salford were almost relegated because of it.

Well under his stewardship Wigan have won 4 league titles and 2 challenge cups.
He’s turned us from a side that would be lucky to make the top 6 into a side cemented in the top 2.
The majority of our squad is Wigan born or produced through the academy with the odd major signing thrown in.
Off the field we are quite asset rich with Robin Park, Pemberton and Edge Hall Road.

I’ve never once heard him speak badly or in a derogative way about Latics.
IL is a great owner. He has completely turned around the fortunes of the rugby club both on and off the field.
He likes to have regular engagement with the fans and created a pre-season and end of season dinner for the club sponsors at which he is honest with his comments about both Wigan and the sport. He has regularly stated at these that the two clubs should work together and isn’t afraid to comment on how he is a Wigan Athletic fan simply because he is a proud Wiganer.
Looking at the way he operates at WRL he would look to run the club in the exact same way that Whelan did. Buy low and sell high. The academy players will get opportunities as well.
Who his investors are would be the issue, but given his business dealings in the past I’m pretty confident in his judgement.

I already have the home shirt but I wont wear it with that logo all over the front. I do however want to buy as much merchandise as possible with the tree and crown on it Anything that helps us out.
There’s no guarantee yet that the sponsor is implicated in this in any way.

A few of the sides below us play each other with Luton and Barnsley playing midweek.
I think if we win the 3 against those below us and then get something from QPR that we’ll be ok.
Boro lost yesterday, but Hull are the side we should be looking to target I think (Stoke were dreadful until that win on Saturday which might have just got them out of it) so it’s paramount we beat them and beat them well.
