We looked the far better side throughout I thought. Future is definitely bright.
2-0
1-0 up at half time. Probably the better side.
So if you can’t get in above Massey then you must be shit
Sounds like an attitude issue so not sure the club he goes to will solve anything unless its a top flight club abroad.
He wasn’t exactly a shining light for us though.
Agree JR. Our play is painfully slow at times.
Messi is coming on nowThere’s certainly the odd one or two who think he is the answer to every question ever asked (someone referred to him as our best player on twitter) without actually seeing him play much, but I think most of us just want to see what he can do. He is the future of the club one way or the other that’s for sure even if it’s just financially.
I hope he can step up and be a Leighton Baines type player for us the same with Lang, Weir, Jolley,Mafeo etc but I have seen plenty of “stars” in the rugby academy sides who either never even got close to the first team (or super league) or played 1 game and were quickly moved on. Different kettle of fish with the physicalities etc, but what I’m getting at is it’s one thing him doing it at U18 level and another him doing it in the 2nd tier. There have been plenty before him as well with England youth sides being successful and then players vanishing off the face of the earth or to League One.
Should save you a few quid grumpy
To be fair, we were never at the races. Windass spent most of the time showing us how the offside rule works.Just a shame we couldn’t have had a similar result as in the Birmingham game were we put in a below par performance then come away with a result.
For me we needed to play our strongest side but too many changes upset the apple cart.
Had the Lowe goal stood I’m sure it would have been squeaky bum time for Leicester.
What I don’t get is, why didn’t Geldhart get a start ?. Pearce gets chucked in (fair enough) and the new lad but Cook still thinks he’s not ready.
And before someone points out he didn’t influence the game when he came on. Firstly he came on to a game 2-0 down and when he did his pressure on Fuchs made him instantly put the ball out on more than one occasion.I’m not saying the result would have been any different with Geldhart on from the start or even say for an hour but I know one thing, we’ll never find out while Cooks in charge.
For Christ sake, it was a non influential game on the outcome of our season and Moore out, when would there have been a better chance ?. Good for the lad and good for the fans who see him as one of our own.
I’d have started him personally, or at least brought him on as opposed to Lowe. All I can think is that it was seen as match fitness for Pearce and Dowell who will be in our plans further down the line whereas Gelhardt (for whatever reason) isn’t. We all know how good he is at his own age level.
In terms of the game, I thought it was pretty even until we stuck it in our own net. We had a few “chances” but as usual the final ball was off the mark. Windass needs to learn to time his runs if he is to play the striker role. The 2nd goal was a killer really and the tie just played out from there. Shame Lowe’s goal didn’t stand and we might have seen us go at them for 10 minutes but anybresult bar a replay was my pre-match thought.
F*ck VAR
Massey has reverted to his League 1 form.
Good finish from Lowe. UTFT!!
I’d have started him personally and don’t think we have anything to lose bringing him on now.
It shows? It would be handy if we managed to stay onside.
An own goal and a deflection
Our own worst enemy again. He’s never clearing that with his left foot.
